Clearly not or they wouldn't keep bringing it up. More of a statement of how bad the Arizona Women have been that she never noticed until now.

Its not like Arizona women have had crowds, let alone nationally broadcast games in prime time, most of those years…

Stanford is so good. Their size is a problem. Have to keep forcing turnovers and hit 3s in the second half.

Martinez and Pueyo had good first halves!!

Haley Jones is just too big and tough for Pennington to guard effectively - and I think Pennington is a really good defender!!

Sigh…tonight ends our run of many years of season tickets at UofA games. Not the way I’d have liked it to end, but you knew Stanford was going to be highly motivated after that loss to Washington. Looking forward to watching the UofA in Corvallis, Eugene, and Seattle. Will proudly wear red.

If you were "completely embarrassed" last night, you might consider another form of entertainment, and diversion from the challenges of your actual life.

I was disappointed last night.
I was sad last night.
I was impressed as hell by the awesome assemblage of talent on Stanford's team.
And, after all was said and done, I was still happy to be a fan and supporter of the U of A's women's basketball team!!!

And, I'll gladly tune in to watch the next game...

Just a bad set of circumstances. We were coming off the LA road sweep, with one less rest and prep day than usual because of ESPN, and then played the toughest opponent on our schedule when they were fired-up coming off a loss. We wanted to look good with the unusual high-profile TV situation for a home game, but so did Stanford, which wasn't about to concede the spotlight to Arizona. And Stanford is a little better at taking high-profile exposure in stride. Not too many people would have looked at the schedule and expected Arizona to win those particular three games in a row, especially after losing Lauren Ware for the year. That said, you have to agree with Adia about the effort issue of players not sprinting back on defense and giving up multiple uncontested layups. When a game you wanted is out of reach and you're downhearted, it's hard to play like a wild-eyed maniac. You still need to find as much competitive fire as you can and avoid the disease of giving up too soon, if ever. Even as lop-sided as it was, with the late cosmetics the final score was not indicative of how bad it really was, but it's still the circumstances of just one game. If they play again in the Pac-12 Tournament, I'd expect a closer game. Now it's Cal (2-10), followed by the Mountains (19-5) at home, followed by the Oregon Trail (8-16) to wrap up the regular season. If I had to guess, I'd see Arizona coming in at 21-8/11-7 with wherever that would put us.

Pellington playing the best I’ve seen - 19 points @ 5:42 in second quarter…

… goes down with nasty looking ankle sprain! Taken to locker room.

Meanwhile, refs are calling lotta fouls on Arizona. 13 fouls in 14 minutes (5 on Utes)

Game tied 32-32

It sure looked like they tried. That thing in Salt Lake was really something, handing them victory from the jaws of defeat with two free throws on a no-call with 1 second left. And Utah cruised ever since. At halftime, Adia was asked about the refs, and she said something to the effect of "I'd get in trouble with the league if I told you what I really think, so I guess I have to lie." Pili is something else. She's good, but she also knocks people out of the way like a bowling ball, but also flops at the other end, and she seems to get every call both ways. Adia did a good job with the technical to get the crowd riled up, and the refs knocked off the one-sided crap. Shouldn't be that way. In any event, awesome career game by Pellington and great win!

We were witness last night. It was a disaster from the first minutes. Refs taking away our defensive game, certain players looking like they’d read too many compliments for the week, our bigs being deer in headlights upon seeing two towers, players coming off the court dogging Adia/being visibly pissed for taking them out, Esmery getting screwed by refs and letting it get to her, Oregon shooting like the ball had a homing device, and Adia again not going for a tech when she should have, a la Lute.

My wife (an Alaskan) drove from Vancouver, WA to Eugene via Longview because the bridges to Portland were closed due to the record snowfall. She drove like a woman possessed through unplowed Portland freeways that were littered with abandoned vehicles. We saw a pretty bad wreck by an absolute idiot driver. It was disappointing to make that effort to see that result to say the least, but we’ll be driving down to Corvallis in the morning anyway

PS I’ve now seen two football games, one men’s and one women’s basketball game in Eugene. We’ve been crushed in all. I’d be fine if the fans gave us shit, but they are so aloof. They act like, of course we won! I’m sorry you aren’t us and you are not worth our scorn. That cocky, Duke-like BS just grates at me. At least Duke has some modern day hardware to show for it.

Yes, ugly!!

However, the Cats matched the "ugly" with their performance - outplayed in virtually every aspect of the game - U oz Zero totally exploited Arizona's defense of going under screens throughout the game, - Arizona's failure to adjust at all falls on the coach!!

I just hope it doesn't cost Arizona's getting homecourt advantage in the NCAA's!!

This game would. Down by 11 to a team ASU beat? Lazy ass defense.

Wait…make that 13.

Edit: Down 16 at the half. Can’t/won’t defend the 3. No big to match up with their’s. Not sure who took this over Pellington’s body from last week, but she’s not too stellar.

Helena got hit in the face in the first half and has not returned to the court for the second.
