In other news, the biggest recruit next year may be keeping him and making me do a super mario jump.

Am I the only one intrigued by this tweet?
Re: Stanley Johnson
nothing to do with sj. mcconnell probably will win the cousy award. which will cause national outcry from the east coast media saying that the wichita state guy or tyus jones should've won...because they have never really seen tj play.azcat34 wrote:Am I the only one intrigued by this tweet?
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

Re: Stanley Johnson
Or Stanley won the Julius Erving Award. (best small forward)
http://raycomgroup.worldnow.com/story/2 ... ving-award
"Johnson is the only Pac-12 player among the five finalists, which also include Justise Winslow (Duke), LaDontae Henton (Providence), Justin Anderson (Virginia) and Sam Dekker (Wisconsin)."
Or both.
But I'll go with just TJ.

Congrats Stan!

Well on a side note, Stan is re tweeting a poto of Trier and Rabb sitting together, with Trier stating that he's waiting for him to come to UA...

Re: Stanley Johnson
Congrats to the Stanimal.
Big fan of his, think he grew a ton as a player and even more importantly a teammate last year and could hugely benefit from another year in Tucson. Im not going to get my hopes up, but I think in his case the skills he can upgrade and the leadership position that he'll need to step into will make him so much more of a complete player. He's likely a 7-13 pick now, but I think another year under Miller, he'd make a big leap skill wise making him a top 5 pick in 2016. Along with that, if he comes back and does something special I think he jumps up a ton on all of our favorite cats boards - if somehow he resists the NBA urge and gives us another year of stanimal I'll be sooo damn high on this guy. He's great either way, but man...shit....i gotta stop I'm getting too excited thinking about it.

Re: Stanley Johnson
Great honor for Stan, and his twitter reaction to meeting Dr J. is pure understanding of the beauty of the moment. That's an old soul in that young kid, and if he stays, he is doing so for all the right reasons. Honoring the process, and what it means to him...no matter what he does, you know he put real thought, not just monetary thought, into the decision.
And if he stays? Next year clocks in at a whole 'nother level. It will be his team, heart and soul. He will be surrounded by a ton of talent, but there is no doubt he is the heartbeat of the team. If he goes, we will be OK...we have a program here. But, man...if he comes back?

Who would be ahead of us? Virginia? And I guess UK and Duke could still end up landing monster classes, so they'll be highly ranked.rgdeuce wrote:Top 3.

Our PG play is going to be the most important aspect of whether we are elite or just good next year.

PJC is a true PG. He may be a little small, but he makes up for it in speed. And he can shoot pretty well.luteformayor2 wrote:Our PG play is going to be the most important aspect of whether we are elite or just good next year.

UNC is going to get the hammer from the NCAA for their academics scandal. Preseason #1 means nothing when they get a post-season ban.ASUHATER! wrote:Unc and Virginia will still be really good next year

Stupid macho bullshit ruining RHJ's party. Hopefully no one was seriously hurt or in trouble.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
