I've assumed we're not at or near the top of his list, but 24/7 seems to think otherwise; not sure how credible that site is.
I wonder which way he's leaning.
As far as a commitment date, Zimmerman recently told SNY.tv, "Just whenever I feel comfortable. If I feel really comfortable with a school tomorrow, I'll commit."
Sounds like Miller's right where Arizona needs to be?
Man, I hope so. Isn't it just a little hard to imagine getting both Zimmerman and Rabb? I works out fine if Ashley and Tarc both leave, but if there's even the slightest chance of one returning, that means less playing time for (probably) Zimmerman.
Adding SZ and Rabb to this class would have to go down as the greatest recruiting class AZ's ever had, right? At least on paper?
catgrad97 wrote:Yeah, no chance both Zimmermann and Rabb both come here, and don't hold your breath on SZ at all.
Definitely more of a "who commits first" scenario, and both recruits understand and have known this since Miller's first interaction with them.
Not buying that. I will buy that if Commanche signs before either of those two, though.

Sean Miller already has a point guard (Justin Simon), scoring guard (Allonzo Trier) and wing (Ray Smith) in the class of 2015. What he doesn't have is a big man, and everyone assumes he's still going to get one.
Arizona has cast a wide net, but Zimmerman and Oakland native Ivan Rabb seem like the two most likely targets. Recruiting site 247 Sports has Rabb at 59 percent for Arizona and 27 percent for North Carolina, making him the odds-on favorite to join Miller's next stacked recruiting class.

Would love to see an update from 97cats about the status of both players....
Is it wrong to think if Rabb doesnt seem to be high on us now or doesnt want to come to Tucson then I say I don't want him in Arizona jersey and I hope that he goes to Cal and we crush them in conference play?

Seems very premature.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Don't worry. We'll have an official "And Now We Riot" thread that will alert you when it's time to believe that a recruit we really wanted wasn't all that great anyway and that we're better off without him.

I love traditions. They give the brain a break.
I thought ****ing all over recruits when they pick someone else was a Kansas tradition, not U of A?

Would love to know how well this goes with IR.
Well Shit just say you want to build the program around him and he will be in love!
If I could build my whole program around you
I'd make your eyes the morning sun
I'd put love where there's sorrow
I'd put joy where there's never been none...

Correct. Good opportunity to get back in good with Ivan and his family and to talk about how he would fit into what Sean is building.

Swanigan. Like his game. So patient. Upper body fakes, sweet pivots. Nice mid range shot, but not in love with it. Keeps his eyes open on the floor. How does he run the floor? Is he married to MSU?
Wow. IR, Bragg, Zimm; now Swanigan. Coach in intense pursuit of either of these four to help bring it home next year again(Say 15 and16?).
I'd be thrilled with any of them. Skilzwize, I confess I like Bragg a little better. My sense is Coach would prefer the best team character guy, whomever he might be.

Catstatic wrote:What do you guys think? First one to commit, or will Coach wait for IR to decide?
Go Cats!! Killer Class!!
First one.
Manage the risk. The emergence of Bragg and Swanigan, along with our rekindling of Zimm says it all. Coach is hedging the risk of a Spring zero by opening up new options and thereby putting fair pressure on each of the guys. So intelligent, and a strategy he can get away with because we're such an attractive opportunity in '15.

Damn it would be nice to have 97 stop by for some good words about rabbs in home visit. I can picture it know "we are where we want to be with rabb" oh the good old days!
Well, since their crystal ball has us in a close second place, I'd guess the list is in random order.

Maybe in order of lean, since Cal is listed first and the last four analysts to express in mid Sept said Cal.
Maybe the other thing to notice is we've moved from "warm" to "cool" in the latest iteration. Anyone understand how the warm/cool characterization is derived by 247? My guess it's a little algo weighted in the direction of predictions made in the most recent months.
Sure starting to feel Cal-ish, hence our newest discussions with Zimm, Bragg and Swanigan.
I sense we'll be plenty happy with however Coach brings this home.
Would love to hear an update from 97 just so we know where things possibly stand with the remaining players on the target list.
I think what you'd hear from 97 is that we're doing very well with all of our targets and that there's a lot of time left in the process.
When someone is leaning toward committing we will know. There's no doubt in my mind about that.

People need to stop being selfish. Maybe you don't know the shit being a message board insider has brought to the doorsteps of 97s family, but it isn't pretty, nor is it our place to demand he leave solace to pop in to give us am update, likely starting more shit.
When the dust settles, I'm optimistic we'll hear from him.
But until then, while I know he appreciates all the requests, he's not going to answer them. Please respect that. It's unfair for all he's done not to.
