The latest rumor is Hinkie exposed Colangelo. Crazy.

Also check out @World_Wide_Wob's page. Another theory is that Hinkie posed as Colangelo in the burner accounts then exposed himself lol. I love sports conspiracy theories.Spaceman Spiff wrote:The latest rumor is Hinkie exposed Colangelo. Crazy.

Re: TJ McConnell's 'MAGIC' Numbers
Paradise Valley is an incorporated suburb of the Phoenix metro area, west of Scottsdale, and has been for decades. Sounds like a detail somebody grabbed off Google Maps. Otherwise, interesting piece--but just the tip of the iceberg. One of the few non-basketball accounts followed by Eric jr is an Arizona man named Lawrence “LB” Bain. Bain’s Twitter bio lists his location as Paradise Valley, a small town in Maricopa County, Arizona, that is five miles from the address of JDM Partners LLC, a financial company where Jerry Colangelo is a partner.

Newest theory is that the burner accounts are Colangelo's wife bc the phone numbers for the burner accounts end in 91 and so does her # in some PTA type announcements.
What a weird story.

Sixers pick up TJ’s option.

Damn right they did.Chicat wrote:Sixers pick up TJ’s option.
"His averages of 5.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists are misleading. He was the major reason the Sixers won Game 4 of their series with Boston, starting the game alongside Simmons and responding with a career-high 19 points in a 103-92 victory. McConnell, who started Game 5, too, also had the best plus/minus of any player in that series at plus-41, slightly ahead of Boston’s Al Horford (plus-40). In addition, McConnell, 26, had the highest offensive efficiency rating of any NBA player in the first two rounds of the playoffs. He scored 1.31 points per possession."

Re: TJ McConnell's 'MAGIC' Numbers
Might be interviewing for a job. Looks like the 76ers will waive him to free up cap space which is their loss in my opinion. What a bargain for a guy that puts in the effort and produces like TJ does. My guess is someone else will pick him up if he's waived. He's worked his tail off and earned respect. I'm really proud of him.84Cat wrote:

His deal is so cap friendly that I’m not sure it would make sense to release him unless he played his way off the team.Captain Obvious wrote:Might be interviewing for a job. Re: TJ McConnell's 'MAGIC' Numbers
Makes a lot more sense to waive Bayless. Sixers have botched their roster construction but if they got rid of TJ, plenty of teams will be interested in him, especially Team LeBron

With trying to run Simmons at point, Fultz anywhere, and leaving their most all around effective player (TJ) searching for minutes. Not playing/trusting actual ball handlers in games 1-3 doomed them against the Celtics.TucsonClip wrote:In what way? I disagree.prh wrote:Sixers have botched their roster construction

Re: TJ McConnell's 'MAGIC' Numbers
The biggest issue for TJ in Philly is that Philly will give Fultz every chance to take time. The time he takes will directly reduce TJ's time.prh wrote:Makes a lot more sense to waive Bayless. TJ has established himself as a legit NBA bench player, so he will have a home regardless. It's just a question of how large a role that home gives him.
Re: TJ McConnell's 'MAGIC' Numbers
TJ's value was in full effect in the playoffs when they started playing him at the end. It's the reason Cleveland tried to get him from the 76er's. TJ will be fine, and if the 76er's don't play him. I'm sure you'll see a line of teams around playoff time lining up for his servicesSpaceman Spiff wrote:The biggest issue for TJ in Philly is that Philly will give Fultz every chance to take time. If Philly is really serious about getting LeBron. . .keeping TJ might be an important factor. King James is a bit of a fan if I recall correctly. . .

Re: TJ McConnell's 'MAGIC' Numbers
But Simmons can actually play point, and can defend basically 4 positions. Fultz has been hurt and rehabbing since summer league. TJ is fine, but you cant play Simmons off the ball yet, and playing them both together kills your spacing.prh wrote:With trying to run Simmons at point, Fultz anywhere, and leaving their most all around effective player (TJ) searching for minutes. What they need is... Fultz. A secondary ball handler who can play with and without the ball (now assuming his jumper gets fixed, which wasnt an issue at Washington).
So, I disagree. Not to mention they have the biggest, most versatile, starting five the NBA.

Re: TJ McConnell's 'MAGIC' Numbers
Their spacing is fucked with Simmons unable to shoot the three. Until they get that figured out, they're in a tough spot.
You cannot play a PG who is not a three point threat and expect to compete in the NBA.

Re: TJ McConnell's 'MAGIC' Numbers
Very good one too. Can play on or off ball, shoots the three very well, great assist to turnover ratio.UAEebs86 wrote:Sixers just drafted another point guard.

I think they're looking to move Bayless as an expiring contract and they'll have a tough time re-signing Redick, so it makes sense that they'd want to bolster their guard rotation. Especially, of course, in light of Fultz and Simmons lack of shooting.
So their four man rotation at the two guard spots would be Simmons, Fultz, McConnell, and Shamet.

TJM not even so quietly, has become the best thing to come from the Sean Miller-era with the exception of the quick rebuild of the program - maybe. Would love to see him get a shot at coaching. Kissing the A at center court on Senior night was a "burned into me" level of coolness. Still get goosebumps.
