No it means it takes you 45 minutes to say goodbye and leave a family gathering.

Dookie V has been very quiet about the Zion Williamson/Duke story. One suspects had the headline been about an Arizona player being required to answer questions relating to improper benefits under oath, he would be tweeting left and right. Suddenly all is quiet. Zion's legal team will obviously appeal and try to get him from having to answer certain questions related to benefits and Duke, but at the end of the day, when and if he is required to answer these questions, there is no way he lies under oath. Was it just shoe companies paying his family, or was there a booster-related payment associated with the university? One suspects Duke is savvy enough to keep multiple layers of distance directly away from the program, but who knows, Zion is only one person who will be answering questions about his issue.

We’re in the same boat as OSU in terms of violations. I know we’re still waiting on the NOA but we should expect this same level of punishment.

OSU must be pissed. #1 recruit, serious possibility of ff and now they are banned for the post season. Now what can KU expect? Has to be twice as bad right?

I think KU gets a three year ban. Seriously. The allegations against them, with the head coach and head recruiter both deeply involved, the evidence that includes text messages and sworn testimony, and the fallout that includes lost eligibility for multiple players... they’re catching all of the heat for this one.

I just do not understand why they would do that. The punishment in no way fits the crime.

How does a postseason ban and reduction in scholarships stop what happened from happening again?

I just can't believe Oklahoma State got a 1 year post season ban BECAUSE they cooperated with the NCAA.

They surely would've gotten 2. And they only 1 have Level 1 violation. Kansas has 5.

This can't be good for us.

There's a reason why you pull a Kansas and say fuck you to the NCAA. This is just another example of what not to do.

What is there to appeal? Their coach already pleaded guilty, served time in jail and that resulted in a Level 1 violation.

The NCAA punishment for that is 1 year post season ban, 3 scholarship loss for 2 years, fines with cooperation.
The courts and guilty pleas make this way easier on the NCAA. Arizona will receive the same at minimum if they cooperate. Book already pleaded guilty and that's a level 1 violation automatically.

Arizona, USC, Auburn can't change that. So it makes the NCAAs job way easier to do this.

Arizona should be looking to what happens with Kansas who hasn5 level 1 violations but isn't cooperating. That should worry us or relax us depending on the outcome there because they are fighting it and not cooperating.

The punishment isn’t automatic - there are tiers of punishment relating to each violation based on mitigating and aggravating factors. A history of compliance would mitigate, while a lack of control systems would aggravate, for example.

Arizona will certainly receive a level one violation, but level one violations don’t inherently carry a one year post season ban.

Hard to see a punishment reduction when their case for punishment severity is all court material and guilty pleas.

None of those can be changed or anything. This isn't similar to say like if Cam Newton took money or he didn't, too ambiguous. These are cold hard facts used in court proceedings and a guilty plea.

Hard to see the NCAA backing down with all that used as their evidence.

And BTW the NCAA already gave Oklahoma State a "break" with only a 1 year ban instead of 2 because they cooperated. They're not reducing that again.

We just keep shoving our 1.5m investigation in their face which shows zip other than Book going rogue and we fired his ass. Miller has detailed recruiting records showing he is clean as a whistle and we tell those corrupt MF’ers we will see you in court if need be.

If they can’t find anything on those grade charges for Rawle or O’Neal then the NCAA is on a slippery slope, not us
