If it's Lloyd I wonder if dumb and dumber pulled off a reverse Costanza...negotiated to pay more money compared to the original offer.

It's contingent on Lloyd having heart surgery performed by Ricky Bobby.

If it's Lloyd, I feel like his hiring would only be the beginning of waiting to see how things work out.

The UofA President was all set to hire Tommy Floyd to replace Sean Miller, and then the UofA President got involved.

Lol. I did that once. I was alone and thought it was safe. Then the door opened up and I got out as three young women walked in. Wasn't even my floor, but I was not going to share that moment with them.

It could still be a disaster since he hasn't been a head coach and we should never have fired Miller and even with firing Miller we should've been looking for higher level candidates than Lloyd...but Lloyd is a far better candidate than Pastner or Stoudamire or Brase, etc...

Lloyd is a hire I'm simply "ok" with and willing to give a shot, but not a disaster..I don't think.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

When I looked at one of the Gonzaga sites this morning all they had were links to Gil saying he was unqualified and 3 other articles from former player disapproving. We will see. Nothing on the Arizona site and nothing in National News yet.

That's the funny part if it is Lloyd. The major story today was Gil blasting him. #1 on Daily Star, etc.

Did Robbins see that and rush out to hire him?

Not seeing anything on Gonzaga boards about Lloyd being our new coach. Just someone who posted week-old information, thinking it was new.

Yes on Saturday when someone questioned if he was leaving they said they had no other information than when they reported he was going to Arizona. I have seen no projections since then from the site I was looking at.

Sounds like we're moving past the P's and on to the Q's. Chris Quinn is on deck.

I really hope he is wise and keeps JET and/or Murphy on staff. Both great teachers and recruiters and a tie to the history of the program.

Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Well, I guess we're to the guy I was lukewarm on and thought was a massive gamble who probably shouldn't have been in the running.

But, he's not Damon, Pastner or other options who have already showed they can't do it.

If any of you have access to this man, you gotta tell him to get the saguaro logo back on the court. One of the posters here has a good render with a Lute and Bobbi Olson tagline on it.

We haven't been to a final four since removing that cactus logo.

Maybe Batcho will come back since Lloyd is very in touch with European players.
