Asu chanted “PLO where’s your dad” to Steve Kerr, if I remember correctly.

How much lower can it be than that?

fast forward 15 or so years...they also singled out Channing Fry's mother relentlessly screaming at her calling her a whore the entire game as she sat behind the AZ bench - i was at the game behind the AZ bench as when Lute finally had enough, got out of his seat, and pointed to the scoreboard in her defense - disgusting typical behavior by the lowest common denominator that is f*ASU fan and a legendary stand up from the one and only Lute Olson.

And yet I almost got kicked out of that game for a story I have posted here previously about "taunting" an ASU band tuba player.

I think ASU fans also yelled "Where's your wife" or something similar at Jerry Kindall after his wife had passed away.

Maybe some day I'll scan in and show you guys my sister's U$C band songbook for the opposing teams from the mid-80's. Nasty stuff.

Right after the anthem asu students chanter fuck ua. We want to be the opposite of asu

Also shout out to the asu girl who threw a ton of trash on the ground in front of the arena. When I casually told her she dro0ped something she blamed the student section for giving it to her

Again "we" aren't students, and we don't have that much say in how they participate in sporting events. Keep it legal and non racist/personal and I couldn't care less what the students want to chant.

UAEebs86 wrote: Sun Feb 06, 2022 11:57 am Just yesterday a poster said "Nice shot buddy" was low class LOL.
To be clear it was my father who said it wasn’t classy many years ago about UCLA fans who used to do something similar so that has stuck with me.

I think spitting, swearing or chanting something related to a players fathers assassination is low class.
Sorry I misrembered a bit (I know, search is your friend)

And Merkin said he didn't like it.

I just find it funny that things like that were ever considered low class compared to what students yell nowadays.

We used to hold up newspapers, turn our backs, and say "Who's he?" and "Not him!" during intros of the other team. I suppose old folks at the time thought we were classless.
My daughter and wife were disappointed nobody did the “nice shot buddy” chant.

What is this “newspaper” you speak of?

When the announced the opposing teams starting line up they would act disinterested by holding a paper and say, who’s he then so what for the next guy. Big deal then who cares but I can’t remember the last one

I was making a joke that kids today wouldn’t know what a newspaper was.

There was no Zoo when I was in school. I sat in the upper deck surrounded by blue hairs who complained I was breathing too loud… AND I LIKED IT.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

McKale was so empty we used walk down and sit behind the bench. As an ex "player" I was embarrassed that my school had such a piss poor b-ball team.

Then Lute arrived...
