Is today like teenager Christmas where you know what your parents are gonna get you and it’s just are you getting name or last years edition?
Like stoaked to open the present even if we know what we are getting
Seeing AZ revealed as a #1 never gets old or less exciting.
Teams I don't want for each seed line and what I'd like (pulling from matrix). Obviously some seeds are low relevance (10/11 mainly come to mind)
2 - Kentucky (give me Auburn or Nova)
3 - Texas Tech (PURDUE or Duke)
4 - Arkansas (Providence!!)
5 - Iowa (Would like St Mary's but Houston seems probable)
6 - Texas (Colorado St)
7 - Michigan St (Ohio State)
8 - Murray St (SDSU)
9 - Memphis and UNC (Marquette)
10 - don't care
11 - Va Tech (Indiana or Michigan)
12 - Rutgers (anyone else)
13-16 do not care

I don’t see our team being intimidated by anyone.
This of course is all fan based. I think our guys feel like they could beat anyone
That's why I don't feel worried about who's in our bracket. Our guys can take down anyone.
I'm rooting more for a revenge tour than anything.

Love how the Duck's mascot is in this ad and they're going to the NIT.

Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
Can't wait to see the media's head explode when USC and UCLA upset other teams.

Yep. Bad draw for the Illini
Illinois scares the hell out of me. In part because of 2005 PTSD. They’ve got Cockburn who can bully Ballo and Koloko and their guards can go off on anyone. This is my worst nightmare for the tourney.
Anybody able to talk me off the ledge? I’m too anxious to be able to get excited for the tourney since I heard the Illini announced as our 4 seed.

Yes, there is a decent chance we won't even face them.
BTW, we already beat them this year...at their place.

Having beaten them earlier scares me even more. I hate the “revenge factor” for them. I’m from Illinois originally and have some obnoxious family that crawls out of the woodwork whenever Illinois has a chance to upset my hopes and dreams. 2005 nearly killed me.
Here’s to hoping they get upset early. I’ll be a big fan of Chattanooga and/or Houston next week.
Another thing on Illinois: in our game against them back in December, they shot the fucking lights out from three (16-36). That's even better than Stanford (11-20) shot against us this past week and almost as good as Colorado (16-32). We won all three of these games, which tells me that we have it in us to survive an opponent that goes absolutely bonkers from three.
Also, I have to think that Coach Lloyd will be addressing three-point defense this week, since we obviously struggled in this area in the Pac tourney.
Cockburn is a handful, and I expect him to have a good tournament. But no one has better big men than we do. Think that's becoming increasingly clear.

When contemplating Illinois and Tennessee, remember that Ballo was not relevant for either of those games. We handled Kofi and now we have ANOTHER skilled body to throw at him. And he won't be able to muscle Ballo around as much as Koloko
Illinois will be gone the moment they don't hit 50% of their threes. Not going cold, just not being red hot.
Illinois is a lot softer than they look, everyone thinks Kofi is all that but 2 fouls and he folds like a tortilla chip at the bottom of a hot tub.
They JUST lost to Indiana who were 9-11 in their conference...that would be like us losing to Stanford or Cal, and yes I know Furd shot lights out in the tourney, but the Ill loss to Indiana was not like that...all Il had to do was defend one guy Xavier Johnson and they couldn't do it because they are not known for defense...Illinois is not that good defensively and I don't think they get past Houston.
Illinois is also going to have to travel to San Antonio. No home crowd there to draw emotional momentum. I also don't think Curbelo returning has helped Illinois. And when we played Illinois the first time, Ballo was still raw and Larsson hadn't recovered fully yet. I like our chances if we meet Illinois.
