I saw some of the homes in downtown New Bern that got hit by the hurricane. That part of town is right on the water. Really cute downtown with good food, although it's really hard to find food that isn't fried in that part of NC. You order a chicken breast sandwich, and out here it's 100% grilled, there it's 100% fried.

But they keep rebuilding in New Bern. Can't imagine how much the flood insurance is there. My daughter actually lived in Havelock, so out of the flood zone.

Never been to Charlotte outside of the terrible airport. My least favorite airport ever. Lots of walking. Do not make a short layover in CLT, otherwise you will be running like Home Alone if your initial flight is late.

But my sister had a small old house close to downtown, and made a mint on it. Had to do a lot of repairs, including expensive foundation repairs, then had a developer come in, tear it down, and build a million dollar spec home. She now lives in a Charlotte suburb which is actually in SC. They do miss the restaurants and activities in downtown Charlotte though. Now it's Pleasant Valley Sunday.

May as well talk about stuff other than basketball. It sounds like the 23 roster won’t be finalized until June or July.

Great. Overly self-important fans self-psychoanalyze themselves in an information vacuum echo chamber. I think I'll let that one breed its own strain of misery and stick with what we do to ourselves here.

I don't know about that. If NIL was all that mattered here he would've committed to Memphis long ago. I'm sure NIL is a factor here, but it's not the sole factor and I'm not sure if it's a primary factor either.

I can think of one PF who is the difference, he is currently in the draft and is likely staying but he is the best addition I could see for this team next year (Tubelis).

Yeah, I’ll give you that… but still need him to improve his outside shooting and ability to attack the basket with his right hand before I’d agree he’s a legit game changer.

I forgot how far he lead us in the tourney last year and how many games we won the conference by. My bad.

Tubelis was really really good last year. This team, as it’s currently constructed, would need him to be GREAT. Not just one game against UCLA and against scrubs in the non-conference, but down the stretch and into the tourney too.

The only joke is thinking he can’t improve, nor does he need to.

Everyone has room for improvement and needs to improve. Maybe you forgot his 40 against Oregon. I just think you are totally discounting his contribution to this team. Basketball is a team sport and the one person that I don't think you can say didn't do his part is ZU. I think he hit a third of our 3 pointers against Princeton if you are looking to place blame you might look elsewhere. I also think if you would have gone back a year, Arizona won the conference after being picked 5th by 3 games. UCLA won last year as a heavy favorite but were defeated in the PAC-12 tournament where ZU was MVP.

6-3 guard will help us on defense. What's the scouting report on this guy? Former McD AA

Edit: The On3 transfer portal rankings had Bradley as the No. 57 player available in the cycle
Only shot 39% from the field so he will need to get better there

For sure a good get, but his shooting is a concern. 40% 2 point shooting especially. 3 point shooting isn't terrible. At least he won't be chucking like the other guy who left.

Bradley has solid length and upper level strength for a point guard. Has good straight line speed with the basketball and tremendous body control. Adept at weaving through traffic, adjusts speed on a dime and can contort himself for tough finishes in the lane. He is not an explosive leaper and rarely plays above the rim. He does, however, jump well off two feet in traffic as a rebounder. As a shooter, he prefers to pull up in the midrange. Shoots the three ball just well enough to keep defenses honest. Handles and finishes well with either hand. Sees the court extremely well and delivers the well timed and accurate pass. Plays with a lot of strength and composure. Has room to improve lateral foot quickness defensively but has tremendous hands on defense. They are active and strong. Comes up with steals.

Bradley is more of a throwback, traditional point guard who looks to run the offense, get others involved, and move the ball. He has great size, knows how to manage a game, and always gets the ball to his teammates where they can be successful.
A solid to good athlete, Bradley can pressure the ball the length of the floor with his size and quickness. He is also a very good rebounding guard. He uses his body very well on both ends of the floor, plays strong with the ball in his hands, has a good understanding of how to play off a ball-screen, and is a good facilitator. When left open he can score, but he thrives more in the role of being an elite playmaking pass-first point.

Strong guard who can get to the rim. He needs to improve his shooting and cut down the turnovers. I don't know about his defense, but hopefully Boswell and Bradley will be an improvement from last season.

"Bradley is coming to Arizona as an expected starter next to Kylan Boswell. The belief is that has the ability to be one of the better defensive backcourts in the conference, if not the nation. Although Bradley struggles shooting, he draws fouls at a high rate and should be able to consistently create in the style of offense that Tommy Lloyd likes to run."

I truly hope Tubelis comes back, and that he takes that next step. Controversial as that is.

Honestly, I hate how slow it is on our message boards during the off-season. I love all things AZ, and can’t get enough talk about the season that just ended, the potential recruits, the hopes for next season, etc. At times, during the off-season, it is like a literal ghost town in here. I end up visiting other schools’ message boards, just to get my fix. (Yes, I’m a college basketball obsessed nerd…) Oddly, a good example of a school whose message board is hopping all time is Tennessee. As delusional as those fans are, they love to talk college basketball. It’s fun just to go over there and laugh at their crazy takes, because there are literally hundreds of new posts every single day. Their game day threads can have thousands of posts! I long for the days when our message boards were a little more like that.

Having said that, super happy with the Bradley pick up. An actual pass-first guard, who is unlikely to jack up a ton of crazy three point shots, but instead push to get to the hoop. And, a defensive stud…? Yes please!

I’m very curious whether he can mold himself or if someone can mold him into a legit threat from the outside. If defenses can sag off him late in the game and clog passing lanes (like they did with Kriisa) then it’s going to be tough for us to win close ones.

That's great and all if you want to be a team with that sort of quality player.
Very telling comment from Choo.

Ramey and Henderson were fine, but they're not game-changers. Nembhard's impact at Gonzaga next season is likely to be greater than Ramey's was at AZ this past one.

Feels like we're seeing a steady decline of overall talent coming into the program. That could change, of course, at 5pm today.
What would you say if we signed a 5 star point guard from last year who 24/7 said was the number #1 point guard in the country? Too early to panic and a lot of guys will be pulling their names from the NBA draft after feedback. Let's see where things sake out in the next month.
Seems like this guy did sign with us and was the starting guard for most of the year on the team that was considered the number 1 in the country. Not all doom and gloom. There might be another surprise coming soon but we will have to wait a bit for the NBA process to conclude.

Then you agree with the point of my post. The rest of it is just looking to pick an argument. I’m sure PHXCAT is around here somewhere to scratch that itch.
Almost......this is your bullshit I don't agree with " before I’d agree he’s a legit game changer." If you don't think the best player on the team and the only guy to lead the PAC in scoring and rebounding isn't a game changer then you are just wrong. That is what I don't agree with. Now you can just waddle back to your cage and lick your wounds because no one would agree with that accept maybe your twin PHX.
No his post was incredibly bad. Yeah he can improve in some areas but he is an amazing offensive player as is right now. Scary to think how much better he can but but as of today he is an incredible game changer

Edit: The On3 transfer portal rankings had Bradley as the No. 57 player available in the cycle
Only shot 39% from the field so he will need to get better there

2. Who is the one poster here who posts tweets regarding players leaving over fan behavior with no evidence to back it?

1. Can't guard anyone athletic, can't use his right hand, can't make an outside shot, but runs the court well, has an awesome left hand, and has great fundamentals.
