I love Townsend
Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
Thanks Fish!
Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
Glad the stream lasted the whole game this time. Thanks again, Fish!
Wasn't expecting to win by so much with the way the first half went. Excited for the real thing next week.

My son and I got $15 lower deck tix- so I don't know how excited Tucson is for this game- but I'm excited to see this new team!
Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
I would be excited but I'm expecting a blowout. It could be over in the 1st 10 minutes

Any word on the status of Krivas for tonight? Looked around and haven't found any info. And yes, I've already made my picks for RAP.

I looked before I posted the RAP prices and all I saw was that he “might” play. Guessing it will be a game time decision. No use playing him if he’s not 100%.VegasCatFan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 4:03 pm Any word on the status of Krivas for tonight? Looked around and haven't found any info. I’m excited to see the new guys and to see what Bradley & Love’s tandem game is going to look like this season. If they’re setting each other up, that bodes very well.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
pumped for the start of MBB - especially after that FB game Saturday!
Really liking what I saw so far in the exhibition games and on paper, but my expectations are a bit tempered after last year.
Seems like the team meshes better overall and we've got a deep lineup!

Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
I'm always thinking that it will be a slightly more marginal AZ team that gets back to the FF. That is, not one that begins the season ranked in the top 5. I think starting ranked 10-15 is right where we wanna be, particularly in this first season in the B12.

The true game tonight will be the Zags against Baylor but really excited to see how this team plays with a bit more pressure on it and how the new Hennri and the new guys do.

Don't expect him to play at all even though he is physically ready. Speculation is that Lloyd will hold him out until the Wisky game.VegasCatFan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 4:03 pm Any word on the status of Krivas for tonight? Looked around and haven't found any info. Veesaar deserves his minutes until then.
This game today should be over after the 2nd TV timeout. But their coach is decent and very experienced.

Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
I can't believe there is even a line. I saw a post yesterday that the UA's chances of winning is 99.7%
I don't understand gambling, so what does UA -6500 mean? You win $6.50 on a straight up hundred dollar bet?

Thanks Vegas. Seems obvious now since you explained it.VegasCatFan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 7:59 pmYou have to bet $6500 to win $100. +6500 would mean you bet $100 to win $6500
Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
Turns out that wasn't a game at all. It's very difficult to do preseason ratings in this era but Baylor brought in a lot of new pieces and accordingly lost a lot from last year's team. If last night was a true indication the Bears could be in trouble and a hot take would be that they might be unranked heading in to conference play.
Games coming up against:
A rebuilt Arkansas roster/Cal.
A possibly emerging St John's crew/Pitino.
Lose or Win that game and its Tennessee or UVa next.
And UConn.
The Bears dropped 15 KP spots following the Gonzaga game. I can't remember that big of a drop following game 1, or really any game super early in the season when KP's ratings are still significantly affected by last season's performance.
On Arizona: who knows. Canisius is terrible. ODU is better but not great. At Wisky should tell us something.

I'll tell you something after that Wiscy game that I'll be at!!!!!
Arizona State might have the most surprisingly anemic history in men's basketball of any program that you might think is better than it is.

I’m trying to go to the Cincy game in January, but they haven’t put the single game tickets on sale yet that far out.

I'll have my stream up. If you watched last game using my stream its the same channel so no need to ask me for a link.

This is going to be a complete beat down
Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
good stuff. just a thought - have you thought about putting the last part of your link in your profile, like under "interests" or something so people don't have to ask? i always feel bad bothering you for game linksFishclamps wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 1:56 pm I'll have my stream up. Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
I rarely get to watch games live since I work on second shift, and live on the east coast. I do watch the games, but by replay. I am definitely going to schedule the first week of March Madness off.
I look at this team and they look impressive. However, they have looked that way every year under CTL, only to come back down to earth as the season progresses. These are young adults, and some lose their dedication as they become more accustomed to college life, and away from home.
I can't wait for the next few weeks as I am anticipating how this team will perform. I do like what I'm seeing. I think our second team is almost as good as the first. We go 9 deep. And Krivas is working his way back into game form. I think this is CTL's best team. Definitely their best defensive team. But we shall soon see.
Looking forward to watching the Wisconsin game. Let's see how they do on the road. Our first real test.

I know it's early but it seems like Deliroll AKA Butthead AKA Dell'Orso has passed Martinez in the rotation.

Watching Duke / Kentucky game- who are we primarily putting on Cooper Flagg?
Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
Me too. Need a Keshad Johnson, which we dont have, so guessing Townsend will get a go.Alieberman wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 7:48 pm Watching Duke / Kentucky game- who are we primarily putting on Cooper Flagg?

Duke has length at every position
Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
Flagg gets a ton of calls and I saw at least two flops from other Dukies. Duke has shooters in many positions and off the bench. They will be tough. Now Kansas is a different story. They had a bad shooting night tonight but what I noticed is they are very slow getting back and we play fast. Dickinson is slow and we need to make him run. Some good yardsticks coming up starting on Friday.

Re: 2024-25 Arizona Basketball
Dukies 4-23 3 PT will do that.
Kriisa has not attempted a 2 point shot all season, nor attempted a free throw.
If I knew Kriisa transferred to UK I certainly forgot it. Kind of surprised to see him go to a place where he would finish his career coming off the bench.
