And look at all those 2 point shot attempts. Not afraid to get closer to the basket unlike Kriisa.

Caleb Love's problem is that he's soooooo gooooood at getting to and scoring at the basket but continually settles for taking 3s for absolutely no reason

Last year though he got really hot and carried North Carolina to the championship game and hit one of the biggest shots ever vs duke in the final four

Hey Choo - any other thoughts on how CTL is going to approach next season's roster? Or is it too early as we need to see what Zu and maybe even Pelle does?

I'm assuming we are again diving into the portal for a SG and athletic wing.

Pelle's not going anywhere. I don't foresee Zu's decision impacting anything one way or the other at this point. As far as the portal goes you'll know soon enough.

That sounded a little coy on Zu, Choo. Any idea which way he’s leaning? Getting him for one more year would make a HUGE difference in our outlook for next season.

So we all have to wait until June 1st. At least the UA has plenty of scholies, along with the lesser Tubelis' if Zu goes.

How dare you lump me with the average AZ basketball fan. I have destroyed at least a dozen couch pillows, lost hundreds if not thousands of hours of sleep, and threw $500 away last year on a ticket exchange hoping AZ would be sent to Chicago so I could meet up & party with '97 and Chi.

I'm not average, maybe a little psychotic.

I’d have to think his scholarship won’t be available if Zu leaves, but then again I’m not sure that we are going to use all of our allotted scholarships.

In any case, I’d rather we give a full ride to a walk-on who isn’t on the team just because his brother is a starter.

You would think so as his brother getting a ride was a condition on getting Azoulis. We could have 5 or 6 open spots available this year

Good reason for Zu to stay, just to help his bro out. His NIL money will be more than he will be making professionally in Lithuania.

I did read that would be his goal. I don't follow Euro ball so don't know how good he is in comparison to the other players there.

Need to know what Zu's doing. It's the difference between AZ being ranked in the top 10 and being ranked around 20th next season.

I imagine Lewis will be starting at the 2, and Lloyd must have told Kriisa as much. Larsson will need to get it together since he will probably be starting at the 3.

Don't have any insider knowledge, but I expect Zu to return after getting feedback from the NBA camps. $100+K NIL money is pretty good.
If Zu is back, we're definitely a tourney team next season. Without him, not sure.

Also, any idea what's happening with Ballo?

Sure hope Tommy Boy starts getting the machinery we need in here or we might have to close down the factory.

As of right now we only have 2-3 sets of quality brake pads and we need 7 or 8. Inflation might be hurting the procurement process on the machinery though.

Oh he's just trolling me now, KK. Think it started when I asked him not to engage in violent behavior on the UofA campus. Maybe even before then.

Anyway, losing Zu obviously weakens our prospects significantly next season, almost regardless of the transfers we're able to land. Zu is a guy who's been in Tommy's system for two years, is an all-Pac player and a 2nd team All-American, and you can't easily replace what he brings. Very different from Kriisa, who is much more replaceable.

So with him (and Larsson and Ballo), we're a top 15 team to begin the season (and almost a lock to make the tourney). Without Zu, we're probably in the 20s or unranked, depending on the transfer situation.

Most do though. BC's inconsistency is what I was pointing out.

Look at what Lloyd has done in two years. Take over a whole new team who would have been probably a tournament team the year before but not close to a top seed and made them a 1 seed.

Then he lost 3 NBA guys and was a 2 seed.

If you don't expect UA to make the tournament next year because AT may leave you either don't understand basketball, don't understand what Lloyd has done, or you are just a hater.

There is tons of talent on the roster today even without AT. Hope he comes back but he is not the deciding factor of this being a tournament team or not

He played in 31 games and took 193 3pts so that is 6.2 per game. He made 80 of those 193 3pts for an average of 41.5%

Or you have concerns about replacing the guy who led the conference in both points and rebounds, which is a legitimate question no matter how far you try and puff out your chest.
About making the tournament? Absolutely not. You are just incredible dumb about basketball or a hater if you think that

How do you average 41% from 3pt land on 6 attempts?
He played in 31 games and took 193 3pts so that is 6.2 per game. He made 80 of those 193 3pts for an average of 41.5%
Ok

Nembhard is in the portal?

Wow, can't put this down for a day!!
