That's a good bracket. I'd take that one right now.

Not bad. Swap Louisville with any of the other number 3's and I would be happy.

I know people respect Pitino and fear Louisville, but what about 3 players that can score on a team that (for real) can't shoot is scary?

Is there a scarier player out there this year than Jahlil Okafor?

I think what the Golden State Warriors are doing this year is remarkable.

With the latest bracket, someone on Stanford would get a detached retina.

Yep, a game against Iowa.

Two Pac teams in the last four in and one in the last four out. Which is pretty incredible for what is essentially a terrible conference.

Would take that bracket(the CBS one) in a heartbeat. Would love to see KU and Wichita St in a second round game. Down goes KU

With the usual caveat that he's the Kanye West of Bracketology (just for you, O-dogg), yes -- that would be desirable. Time to research High Point.

Barring something unexpected, is it getting pretty safe to assume that Arizona and Gonzaga will be the 1 and 2 seeds in the West? It's just a matter of who's the 1, who's the 2.

That's what I'm thinking. If we win out I think we overtake them, but what do I know.

If we win out (including the Pac tourney), I don't see how we're not a 1, when we beat Gonzaga. We'll see.

And Wisconsin losing, which they just did. Dang, only 53 points for the Badgers. Maybe Miller can't help them out with their offense in the off-season.

I think we are somewhat influenced by the terrible we know best. Because there aren't a lot of teams in that area around the bubble that are much better, or that have earned it any more.

It is a really, really soft bubble in the current "every tournament is won by a team that was in already" view. That bubble can pop pretty quick with a couple of major or mid major conference surprise tourney winners.

Looks like we have an open race for 3 teams to win 2 spots. UCLA has the best chance with their remaining schedule to remain perfect down the stretch, but one loss sinks them with the horrible teams they have left. A wide plank in place of tight wire 10,000 ft in the air. Stanford and Oregon have to play each other still...might be an elimination game.

Not disagreeing that the PAC is awful. It is. It is bad, not 2012 bad, but bad nonetheless.

But so is the BIG10, and the SEC...and the Big East...and the AAC....

I mean really, there are only about 6 teams that on paper alone could win it all. It's basically teams laying in that KenPom top 10. Take a pick from those, because the dropoff outside of those teams is very significant.

Ditto this.

My fear is that the committee may conclude that Gonzaga isn't deserving of a #1 seed and drop them to a 2 seed.........but reward them by giving them the 2 seed in the West, bumping the UA into the south region opposite the "other" Cats.

I thought a #2 seed is a "protected seed" and thus given a geographical advantage.

If both Gonzaga and the UA end up as 2 seeds they both can't stay in the same region.......although in the first two rounds our pod would still play at a Western site. The 16/8 games would be played in the other region.

So in other words, go Zags.

Safely a 2, especially when you look at the 3s and 4s:

3: Maryland, Utah, Okla, Iowa State.

4: Notre Dame, Ville, NC, N. Iowa

Go Zags! Go opponents of Villanova and Wisconsin!

In the AP poll, teams right behind us are KU, ND, Northern Iowa and Wichita State. Two have already lost. A third will since they play each other.

We need a split this week. 0-2 would really hurt at chances at the #2 in the West. 2-0 would get us into strong contention for the #1 in the West.

So with the zags losing does that put the zags as the 2 in the west and move us out to a different region as a 2 seed or would the zags be shipped out as a 2 seed

Us getting shipped out after that win would be bullshit. Gonzaga lost at home, they should get shipped out.
