7 teams in as expected. Sucks for Washington.
Seven teams in. All 8 seeds or better. All rated where they should be or given the benefit of the doubt and a nice seed. Except us. Lmao. Why was everyone else respect but us? Because we played a few RPI 300 teams instead of 200? And unlike all those other teams, we dont have a bad loss really and all our losses but one came away from home and were very close. Theres no way to explain this other than a middle finger. They ignored everything, logic, the eye test, bpi sagarin and kenpom (who have us 11-15) and looked at an effing RPI sheet.

Have to admit, KU got a gift with who our potential match-up pool in the Elite 8 would be. Cupcakes, the lot of them.

I told myself last year I'm done with worrying about seeding and location, etc. It's the Tournament, you are going to have to beat some good teams at some point. Might as well get a taste of that early instead of having all the pressure that a top seed feels to avoid an upset.

What seed might we received if we had a roadie at OREGON St and home games against Utah and CU.

Win this 3 and we likely would have received a 4 seed

I guess the committee is on some Cinderella kick and thinks Michigan will be this year's UCLA.

Which it won't, but hey, they'll have the Syracuse storyline to lean on!

Personally, I have South Carolina playing UW for the NIT title right now.

BTW, who the f*ck is Mark Titus and why is he on ESPN as some sort of "expert" this year?

I'm going to fill out my brackets differently this year. I'm going to see the odds and and allow the pc to pick teams with a random number generator based on the odds, and do this for as many brackets as I decide to fill out. I figure that is as good as trying to use my brain.

They seeded for TV ratings, and it's so blatant.

Oregon/Or St

Texas/Texas A&M

UVA/Sparty 3rd straight

IU/UK

Michigan/Notre Dame

Etc etc

NYCat, you think it was seeded that way even more so than to help out the subregional venues?

Because the Cats are going to have probably their worst opening-round attendance ever IMHO in Providence.

I am absolutely blown away, btw, at the 13-14 and 22-23 seeds. Notre Dame beat Duke and Arizona beat Cal. Shouldn't those be flipped?

Look, by this point, if you don't think politics has an unfair influence that extends to Selection Sunday, at least w/r/t Duke, you're never going to.

Blue Devils are a protected seed and will remain so until doomsday.

And for the record, I absolutely would've rather had Cal's draw, and if Tolly hits both his FTs Friday, the Cats probably get it.

But this team had so many chances to climb the ladder and blew them. Now they have to prove poor seeding, which I think is the committee mindset with a few of these teams.

Otherwise you've got the first team to lose to a play-in winner, a thought you can't say isn't on Miller's mind right now.

21. Arizona Wildcats
The past two Arizona teams were the best of Sean Miller's distinguished career. They were the best in Tucson, Arizona, since Lute Olsen's late-1990s/early-aughts heyday. They were responsible for a combined 67 wins and nine losses. And they still didn't get Miller to his Final Four. (Thank Wisconsin, which downed Arizona in back-to-back Elite Eights, for that.) After losing four lifeblood starters last spring, these retooled Wildcats, led by transfer Ryan Anderson and freshman Alonzo Trier, weren't nearly as dominant as their predecessors. They are very good, though. And very well coached. And, in this wide-open season, capable of putting an ironic end to Miller's
Phil Mickelson-esque drought
.
Urge to strangle Brennan rising.

They could've switched with Seton Hall/Utah in Denver, but they probably want to give the higher seed a closer proximity to home - which is understandable.

They seeded for the bigger programs, fanbases, matchups, storylines. Let's just look at Texas, they have possible matchups with VCU (Shaka old team) TAMU & Oklahoma.

These seedings make no sense whatsoever otherwise.
