I tried a few times shortly after they went on sale and I kept getting C. Ended up keeping them. Not too bad of seats, in the center of the section it looks like.

Not sure a freshman Fultz even comes close to offsetting the loss of your three best players though. USC should still be pretty good, 3 of their 4 best players return and 5 of their best 7.

USC Players (PER) - status:

Nikola Jovanovic (19.8) - declared for NBA
Jordan McLaughlin (19.3) - returning
Julian Jacobs (18.0) - declared for NBA
Bennie Boatwright (16.9) - returning
Chimezie Metu ((16.7) - returning
Katin Reinhardt (15.6) - transferred
Elijah Stewart (15.1) - returning
Darion Clark (13.6) - transferred
Malik Marquetti (12.7) - transferred
Malik Martin (11.8) - transferred
Samar Dhillon (8.2) - returning

Depending on their newcomers I would guess that they would end up being a top 50, but not a top 25 team, and could find themselves on the bubble come selection Sunday.

NM, I was under the assumption Jovanovic pulled out of the draft, as he remains on USC's 16-17 roster on their webpage.

So it sounds like it's OR, AZ, UCLA and everyone else. Cal, Utah, Colorado maybe next tier.

Really want some payback vs. the Ducks next season.

Just once I want hear a guy say: "As it turns out, playing in the NBA was not my dream. Just wasn't that excited about the prospect."

I mean, come on, doesn't it go without saying that getting to the league is the ultimate goal? The issue isn't where you want it; it's whether it wants you at this point in time.

Because we didn't go to Oregon last season. And because CU/UT didn't come to McKale.

So...

AT/RA
KS/PJC
LM/RS
CC/LM
DR

I'll be interested to see if Kobi can actually beat out PJC and start at the 1. And I'd expect RA to get big minutes backing up AT. And where does Kadeem get minutes?

PJC is going to end up 3rd on the depth chart at PG, no later than PAC season.

You can't teach small.

You're probably right, but he's shown flashes at both ends of the court. He's very quick, which makes up for his being small. It's good that PJC has to compete for his spot this year. He'll have to work harder if he wants to play. I think he'll have a good season. Loving our backcourt depth!

End up or start? I have a hard time not seeing the first spots as KS and KA's to lose. Having Ferguson out of the picture frees KA to play off the ball, and that's the most likely long term thing for PJC to get minutes.

I feel bad for him, but physically, his ceiling is as an average defender.

PJC and KA are upperclassmen with lots of minutes logged, so KS has his work cut out.

PJC and KA both showed last season that they aren't UA good at PG.

The weakest position on the team.

With RA in, and Trier back, won't be any minutes available at the 2. Ray Smith can play the 3, assuming he is physically fit.

KS is the 6th ranked PG in his class, and 18th ranked player. Offers from Kentucky and Ohio State.

Now that's UA good.

Wouldn't be a fair bet. Not that you might or might not win, just that I have sigs turned off. Going back to TOS, some posters just had huge sigs that took up a lot of real estate, which I didn't care to see. So I don't see any.

It is all on Kobi putting in the work and picking up Miller's defense and offense. I expect PJC to be the starter for the majority of the OOC.

Nothing against PJC, but he should be a back-up here at AZ. And there's nothing wrong with that whatsoever. Would be nice if he could enter the game, make a three or two, maybe a layup, and drop a couple dimes each half without being a weakness on D. Hopefully Kobi will take the reigns as the starter right away (admittedly a tall order, but I think he has it in him).

I think we can all agree KA is a better 2G than PG, just don't see any scenarios where Trier or Rawle isn't at the 2 except end of game blow outs.

Maybe if Smith isn't game ready start of the season, Rawle and Simmons aren't ready for Div I speed, and therefore Allen and Trier play as wings.

Got it. It's always dicey with freshmen. Some are AG and SJ, others are Josiah. Lately, CSM has been doing a good job of brining in guys who fit with what he's trying to do, so that's encouraging. I like what I've heard so far from KS and RA; seem like good guys.

If we're starting PJC and KA in the backcourt, I'm worried.

I would think KA vs KS is highly competitive at the start of the year with Kadeem's experience level. Hopefully KS learns fast and KA can be a combo guard to lead our second unit and make sure that we have plenty of wing depth with AT/RS/RA as our other 3 options.

Ray is our only real SF. The rest, we can play a 3 guard lineup. Having Kadeem to give us flexibility in those 3 guards should help a lot. If Kobi is ready, I'm not sure if PJC has a role or how big it is.
