Not sure why Iowa Player didn't cut off Gilyard on that last possession. Could have pinned him no doubt but didn't step up, kept retreating. Between that and the officiating......

Still glad Spiders should win.

Is Longwood a school or a porn name?
If they stroke it from outside, get good penetration and then convert a few backdoor opportunities, it won't matter.
Amazing, Spiff. I'm definitely here for the bad March Madness jokes.
Down 25 at the half, they'd better be able to come from behind.
... and use the high hard post to pound it inside

One of the Field of 68 guys said that 1 seeds should always worry about teams like Memphis and UNC. Teams that have 'dudes' but have played under their potential the entire year. All they need is one game.

You can see how this "let 'em play" reffing isn't PAC-12, except for the fact that these are PAC-12 officials.

Couldn't even make Free Throws. Utterly ridiculous how bad they played. Would guess they win by 20+ but who knows if they keep playing like that.

Did that injured big man come back? I changed channels when the injury happened. Didn't look or sound good but apparently he walked off?

Isn't it crazy how Gonzaga can absolutely pummel teams all season long and then get to Georgia State and have this happen?

I've always thought that last year's Zags team was better. Gimme Suggs over Holmgren all day. But Gonzaga is still a considerable favorite to win it all this year.

There's no way they'll lose this game.

Zags'll be fine.

* they'll walk a little funny after Fewie rips 'em a new one at half, but they'll be fine.

Missing free throws. Missing bunnies. But Georgia State is missing everything as well. Just making physical. Can't keep it up in the second half, but they should be proud.

its hard to drive a Ferrari in 3rd gear for three months and then try to drop it in 5th all the sudden - takes a little while...the longer they play the harder they will be to eliminate, kind of like Greg Maddux, if you didnt get him in the first inning forget about it.

i expect Gonzaga to come out here and blow the doors off and never look back to the final four.

but, if there was a time to get em, its now

Would you say the same about AZ? Or are we less like to have this happen because the Pac was a harder road?

They're just going to Timme again and again, which of course is their best strategy vs. any opponent.

If we're in a tight game tomorrow, we just need to keep going to our bigs. Or let Benn get to the FT line.

Zags really miss Kispert and Suggs. That alpha presence on the court really pushes them over the top. Having Ayayi
wouldn't hurt either.

Nembhart, Strawther and Bolton are supposed to fill those roles, but you're right: this group ain't what they had last year.

Chet is another one of these 7 footers who plays mainly on the perimeter. CK and OB are much stronger than he is, so I'd like our chances with one of them posting him up. But Chet can create match-up problems since other teams' bigs aren't used to guarding someone so far from the basket.

I think your Ferrari analogy from earlier was spot on. Now that they're comfortably in higher gear, I wouldn't expect too many lulls from here on out. Gonna take a really tough team to hang with them.
