Scary scary shit.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

First picture I saw seemed to be close to El Corte Ingles, but that video makes it look like someone drove the car right down the walking section of Las Ramblas.

If that's true, in August...man.

I get more and more worried as no official UA announcement is made...I understand the players are safe, but they weren't the only ones on the trip...

Terrorist attack. A lone wolf, radicalized, driving into a crowd to kill people. Then leaving to save him/herself.

Should we discuss all the "sides" here? Or just condemn terrorist actions in the name of an ideology, and condemn the groups who sought to radicalize this person?

Hate is hate. I'm over labeling it. Love is the only antidote to hate.

If anyone has a problem with that being too political for this thread, hit me up on PM.

At least the WA tweet refers to all "members," but yeah, optimistically still waiting for a statement.

Also would love to hear how dcZONAfan and his family are doing, but understandably an announcement to a message board won't be his first priority.

Agree, please keep this thread relevant to AZ Basketball / Spain.

Anyone is free to start a Barcelona thread in Politics boards or comment on Terrorist thread.

There was a terrorist attack a couple of blocks from the team hotel, and no official word from the team nor the university that everyone is safe.

Carry on talking about the performance in the last exhibition game that you didn't watch though.

Which it what we are discussing here, not whether it was Catalonian separatists, anarchists who want to drive away tourism, or jihadis (or what ever the preferred PC label is)

Frankly I could care less about the spat you and 97 got into a while back but nice passive aggressive comment above referring to it; classic pontificating odogg style, always above it all. I also tend to be a proponent of free speech in all its forms so long as it's it not inciteful violence.

But with this the board, and all the strong personalities on it, I would prefer that we leave this thread to something unifying and ,in your words, loving, in our love and well being for cats BB, rather than see what until today was a pretty sweet thread devolve into the usual partition shitshow that infects nearly other thread on this board.

Again, in my opinion. But don't let that stop you looking down on those opinions you disagree with. (See your post above)

Which is a different question than the causes, ideologies, and the perpetrators of this horrid attack.

But back to topic, keep being a dick about it.
