On the main rivals board Oregon fans think McConnell isn't good at all, should never have been considered for the award and isn't even that important of a player on Arizona. Young deserves the award simply because he scores 20 a game. Apparently to Oregon fans the poy=highest scorer.

I told them that they must know nothing about basketball. They insist Young was the only logical choice because he scores. They keep repeating "how does a guy that averages 9 and 6 even get in the poy discussion, young averages 20! McConnell isn't even one of the 3 best/important players on Arizona!"
Points per game are the only stat in the world.
