Frank Jackson to Duke.
Not a surprise.UAEebs86 wrote:Frank Jackson to Duke.

So we're finally cooling off recruiting-wise, it seems. Still too early to say for sure, but '16 is not looking good.UAEebs86 wrote:YesBeachcat97 wrote:Did we offer him?UAEebs86 wrote:Frank Jackson to Duke.
Do you realize how many other top tier programs don't have top level commitments yet from 2016 players?Beachcat97 wrote:So we're finally cooling off recruiting-wise, it seems. We're getting Josh Jackson, we could fill out the rest of the class with Machina and his arcadia tavern crew and I'd be fine with it.Beachcat97 wrote:So we're finally cooling off recruiting-wise, it seems. We haven't recruited him for a good while now and he went to Duke. It's not like he committed to Utah here.Beachcat97 wrote:So we're finally cooling off recruiting-wise, it seems. BC, please read Chi, Choo-Choo, Puerco, et. al. Then, go to your room.Beachcat97 wrote:So we're finally cooling off recruiting-wise, it seems. Still too early to say for sure, but '16 is not looking good.UAEebs86 wrote:YesBeachcat97 wrote:Did we offer him?UAEebs86 wrote:Frank Jackson to Duke.
No way they'd accept. Good points, Chi. Let's hope we get JJ. The rest will work its way out.Chicat wrote:Do you realize how many other top tier programs don't have top level commitments yet from 2016 players?Beachcat97 wrote:So we're finally cooling off recruiting-wise, it seems. Don't forget, playing time will likely be scarce for freshmen in '16/'17 if everyone comes back. That's a loaded team with very few holes. I can't say I blame kids for looking at situations that might be more wide open.
So let's say we get both. We'll all be ecstatic. That '16 starting five could look like this:ChooChooCat wrote:Lauri and Jackson or bust.
how you gonna forget Ray??Beachcat97 wrote:So let's say we get both. We'll all be ecstatic. That '16 starting five could look like this:ChooChooCat wrote:Lauri and Jackson or bust.
PG - PJC
SG - Trier
SF - JJ
PF - LM
C - DR
Bench: Pitts, Kadeem, Simon, Comanche, maybe a transfer?
It's not a bad looking lineup.

No. He'd need a meteoric rise to get to that level.Beachcat97 wrote:I think he's one and done.dcZONAfan wrote:how you gonna forget Ray??Beachcat97 wrote:So let's say we get both. We'll all be ecstatic. That '16 starting five could look like this:ChooChooCat wrote:Lauri and Jackson or bust.

True, but it could happen. He's a freak athlete, and the NBA loves freak athletes.ChooChooCat wrote:No. He'd need a meteoric rise to get to that level.Beachcat97 wrote:I think he's one and done.dcZONAfan wrote:how you gonna forget Ray??Beachcat97 wrote:So let's say we get both. I don't think he's a freak athlete. I mean he's a good one and all, but his best NBA attribute is his size for position and shooting. Andrew Wiggins is a freak athlete and I certainly wouldn't put Ray at that level. He's definitely the best NBA prospect on the team, but I strongly doubt he's a one and done. Now if he hadn't torn his ACL and missed a crucial year of development he probably would've been one imho.Beachcat97 wrote:

Looking forward to "perfect fit" shifting to "right where we want to be."97cats wrote:that 1 tho = perfect fitMerkin wrote:

I don't see any other Pac teams even in the conversation right now.gronk4heisman wrote:Except for when "right where we want to be" turns into him going to a conference foe.
I give much more weight to 97Cats' input. I think 247 predictions had Fultz coming to UA, and had Rabb coming here for most of his recruitment.HiCat wrote:Re post from a few weeks ago.

I hope Lightfoot commits soon. We could use some good news for a change when it comes to 2016.catgrad97 wrote:Jackson would play both forward positions while Lauri would primarily be Ristic's backup IMHO.
Maybe the reason other recruits aren't giving Arizona more attention is because they're sensing Jackson is going to be the centerpiece of this team even more than Gordon was.
Add Lightfoot for some forward depth and call that a class.
so when did that ever happen?gronk4heisman wrote:Except for when "right where we want to be" turns into him going to a conference foe.
Rabb and Leaf. You guys need to relax, I'm not saying hearing this stuff from 97Cats isn't great and the most reliable info we get, but I prefer not to count my chickens before they hatch. Especially after the way recruiting has been trending the last 6+ months.gumby wrote:When did that happen?

No, pretty sure we weren't jn the kead on the Fultz crystal ball. Was Louisville or Maryland - can't remember which. We were in 2nd, I think, and only one dude predicted Udub.Harvey Specter wrote:I give much more weight to 97Cats' input. If that wasn't said, then I must have inferred it from something else he said. My fault.Main Event wrote:He never said we were where we wanted to be with Rabb
It wasn't. I just scanned both this thread and the Ivan Rabb thread, and 97 never said that.gronk4heisman wrote:If that wasn't said, then I must have inferred it from something else he said. My fault.Main Event wrote:He never said we were where we wanted to be with Rabb
Um, JJ?Evan Daniels: Earlier this week I said that I thought Kentucky and Duke will battle it out for the No. 1 recruiting class in 2016, so that means each will continue to and add more firepower to their recruiting classes. Duke already has a pair of five-star prospects (Jayson Tatum & Frank Jackson) and I expect them to add at least one more. While Kentucky has two highly touted four-star players (Sacha Killeya-Jones & Tai Wynyard), I'd be surprised if they didn't land at least two and likely more five-star players when it's said and done.
Arizona is another school that I expect to make huge gains in the near future. They currently don't have a pledge in the 2016 class, but they are in on some significant players like Andrew Jones, Lauri Markkanen, De'Aaron Fox (pictured above) and a host of others.
Man I hope so.Main Event wrote:Jackson is probably a spring commit

In July the 247 'experts' were split 50/50 between AZ and Louisville. In August, Kentucky surged to the lead in the predictions poll, with us hanging in 2nd... UW was not even really in play.Puerco wrote:No, pretty sure we weren't jn the kead on the Fultz crystal ball. Was Louisville or Maryland - can't remember which. I guess we're near the top for him if near the top is third place behind Kentucky and Kansas. If we land Jones I'm not sure where Fox would fit in, although I'm sure the answer is in PJC's spot, and I'm 99% sure Miller would not do that. Miller needs as much good will in Los Angeles as he can get right now and recruiting over PJC just does not help the cause at all in that regard.luteformayor2 wrote:Since when have we been anywhere close to the top for D-Fox?gumby wrote:http://www.scout.com/college/basketball ... g-dominoes
