Bilas said he didn’t see anyone who could slow Arizona in that group…

… but, so far, Alabama to Final Four is unanimous pick.

They have the #3 defense, while having the #4 tempo. So they can run with us if they need to and can defend.

They also have a top 20 offense and the best player in cbb and we have no one big enough and athletic enough to guard him

Plus, remember what Nate Oats did to us with Ristic and Ayton

If I'm not mistaken, UCLA was #6 and we were #8 overall

Seeds
#1 seeds
1....2...3...4

#2 seeds
8...7...6...5

Am I correct, or wrong as usual?

We were the lowest 2 seed, which put us in the bracket with the overall #1. UCLA plays the third #1 seed, which puts them at #6 overall.

CBS showed the overall ranking and we were 7th. Which does not explain why we are matched with the overall #1 seed.

OK, so I guess they put us in that bracket because of us getting to play in Cali? Thanks. Otherwise, it should have been the lowest #2 seed in the same bracket as the highest #1.

Everyone on ESPN has Duke in Final 4 lol.

At least Bilas has us against Duke in the Final 4. I would pay to see that.

I can live with that.

Because they are “duke” and made a run in a conference tourney. Shouldn’t be surprising. I mean they were all in the UNC vs Duke game like it a prize fight.

They are not making past the second day.

I think it's because they seem to be clicking right now, and lest we forget, they've got the best freshman class in the country, plus Roach. My hesitation in picking Duke is that the ACC was weaker this year, and Duke is also inexperienced af with a first year coach. It's just unusual for a team with these characteristics to get to the FF.

Glad we aren't in the west, that bracket is brutal. I like our draw, and like always I'll be rooting for the #1 seed to drop early. But whatever, we must beat them, and Nate oats beat Miller coaching 2 bigs, not CTL plus we have a better set of point guards than that team.

Under CTL we are 14-1 in neutral site games the last 2 seasons with our only loss to Houston in last year's S16 game.

No, the conference tournaments don't really matter to the committee is the take away, just like last year.

They are meaningless, so it's just best to sandbag it like Lute (if you're safely in)

So glad we’re not in same region. Congrats on #2 seed.

I’m OK with Zags in west with UCLA & Kansas. Cat coaching staff is loaded with former Zag players and coaches will help if we meet Bruins in scouting.

I’m sure Zag staff will provide scout on Baylor and Alabama as needed.

Go Cats FINAL FOUR

The regional was in San Antonio, so about 3 hours drive from Houston. We definitely got screwed playing an under-seeded UH so close to home.
Tuscaloosa is 6 hours from Louisville (same as Tucson to Las Vegas), but that's not bad considering Bama is #1 overall. Hopefully our fans travel should we get there.

Most have Alabama winning it all. Somebody had Duke.
Most had Creighton or Baylor reaching the Elite 8 against Alabama. A couple had us.
