Thanks Zu - appreciate everything you've done for the program and it was great to watch your progression. You are good kid so you deserve everything you get. You big, stoic lefty. Lol

Go kick ass in the pro's!

Great teammate and Wildcat. He easily could have broken Ernie McCray's 46-point record vs. Oregon. Glad his mom and family got to see him at his best.

Great Wildcat, and making the right decision. Would love to see Zu back for another year in Tucson, but I doubt he'll be able to shoot well enough to really improve his draft position. And that's just one thing Zu needs for a chance to play in the NBA, and I just don't physically, Zu can take that next step. He'll likely be a 2nd round draft choice next year at best too, and likely be playing in Europe. Maybe he gets a shot at the Association, and I'd love to see it. But odds are not in his favor in my opinion. If he wants to make a living playing basketball, which is a guarantee, no reason not to start getting paid now, even if it's in Euros and not dollars.

Bear Down and thank you, Zu.

I always feel like something is missing from his time here.
I think it was the robbins tourney ban and then the coaching change. Feels like we missed a year of ZU and Krissa.

I know Lloyd & Co don’t want to be seen as pushing a kid out of the program but doesn’t Tautvilas want to see if whatever pro team hires his brother will take him on as a mascot or something?

Scheer also said he thinks we'll keep a roster spot open. Not sure if IARP related. That still leaves five scholarships to fill.

Best of luck, Zu. You are a Wildcat for life. You stuck it out with all the crap that was going on with Coach Miller and honored your commitment. Thanks for all the good times.

So what’s the deal? Is he going NBA, Euro, Portal or staying at AZ?

So Tubelis real hieght is 6 foot 8.75" without shoes.

I have always found it amusing how many college players shrink once they get to the NBA.

Javier Morales posted this on FB from a NBA scout.

Guess we should all be NBA scouts since this was pretty obvious.

https://en.as.com/nba/what-is-the-two-w ... e-nba-n-2/
From the 2020-21 season, the amount of time a two-way player could play with his NBA team was increased to 50 games, while the minimum salary for two-way contracts increased from an initial $81,955 minimum to an overall salary worth up to $449,155.

For the 2021-22 season, the NBA Board of Governors also approved changes to roster-related rules regarding the use of two-way players during the regular season.

As per that NBA communique: “For the 2021-22 season, each two-way player will be paid a flat salary equal to 50% of the minimum player salary applicable to a player with zero years of service. A player under a two-way contract will be permitted to be on the NBA team’s active list for no more than 50 games during the regular season, with no limit on practices, workouts or other activities with the NBA team.

Looks like this was planned in advance and that's why he wasn't drafted.
