Love scheduling tough non-conference opponents because it’s not only fun to watch, but it also raises our national exposure. Plus we always seem to play well in those games and even losses don’t ding us come tournament seeding time.

We should always fear no one in the country.
Like Lute’s teams, CTL’s teams have performed very well from the beginning of the season. Tough early-season games are welcome and enjoyable!!

This place will be filled with doom and gloom even though we are facing 3 potential number 1 seeds if we lose. Get ready for the meltdown. LOL.

Oddly enough, as over-reactive as I am, it's from those losses I suffer the least. Altman can teach us a lesson not to extrapolate from OOC cupcake wins to start the season. Throw the team into the meat grinder and start making sausages early. It's ugly, but it's the taste that counts in the end.

PAC projected to have 3 team in. Seeds: 1, 8, 11.

Singling out the performance in a single sport from a conference that has so many high performers in sports across the board (including recent national championships) is, IMNSHO, utterly ridiculous!!!

This CBS bracket came out before FAU beat us. When it's all said and done, I'd expect FAU to be a 2 or 3 seed.

I don't think so either, but we can't have anymore stinkers and we need a couple teams to lose games they shouldn't. Other teams are definitely gonna lose games they shouldn't, we just can't afford any losses outside of at Colorado or Utah.

I think if we win both the reg season Pac title and Pac tourney, we’ll be #1 in the West. I hear you about bad losses, but I don’t expect we’ll be the only top 10 team to drop more games before Selection Sunday. Purdue and UConn feel like locks for #1s. Houston is getting close, but they play KU this weekend.

I am not calling you out so please don't take it that way. I just see this all the time

So many people act like Arizona plays in a vacuum. Arizona's seeding depends on how Arizona plays as well as how every other team in nation plays. So yeah hopefully no more srinkers but of every other team has stinkers too....

I wasn't thinking you were calling me out. In fact if your gonna call me out, you better mention that somewhere or I'll just go on thinking I can stay in.

Also, UConn has lost all their games against decent opponents except against UNC and Creighton at home, who isn't that great. Everyone is all excited about the big east but lots of teams are down from last year, even Marquette isn't as reliable who UConn hasn't played yet. Uconn might not be as tested as they were last year.

Everyone is talking about Parity.

Yes there are no dominant teams. But if a team not listed below wins it all I will be shocked.

UConn (Big East)
Purdue (B1G)
Houston (Big XII)
UNC (ACC)
UK (SEC)
Kansas (Big XII)
Arizona (Pac12)
Tennessee (SEC)
Wisconsin (B1G)
Duke (ACC)
Marquette (Big East)
Illinois (B1G)

The only team in a non-traditional basketball power conference I would list is maybe FAU if their guards get hot again. So that’s really only 13 teams that I would give a chance to win it all. Anyone can get to the final four since the tourney is a shit show. But once you’re there it’s typically the better team that wins.

But….with that being said..if it ain’t Arizona..give me chaos!!!

Zags have an uphill battle to reach the tourney this year. Haven't said that in a while. They need to win their league tourney, or I think their bubble is gonna pop.

And yes, we're more or less a lock for #2 in the West as long as we don't go into a complete tailspin to end the season. Think we can lose two more games before Selection Sunday and still be a 2. If we lose 3+, who knows.

This is true. We have the numbers to make a strong case for a 1. Most likely, it's a competition between AZ, UNC and Kansas for the final #1. Maybe Tennessee or Marquette could still move up, but I doubt it. Being a 1 means avoiding the 2 seed until the regional final, so it's a big deal.

Also, though, we went toe to toe with Purdue, who in my mind remains the best team in the country. On a neutral court, maybe we win that game in December. Anyway, this is to say that I don't really fear any of the projected 1s and 2s. This AZ team can beat anyone.

As I recall, the Purdue game was on a neutral court, albeit, in Indiana.

Next year will be on a neutral court in Phoenix, I believe....

And, I'm close you you on this, except to add, that Arizona could just as easily "LOSE to any of the projected 1s and 2s"...
