I never expect UA basketball to lose.

Unlike the football team.

Of course. Lauri's gonna Lauri but Chance will be the difference maker

I really don't know MSU's roster this year. I just know their freshmen are awesome; so are ours, though.

Izzo is my favorite active coach, in any sport. He's classy as hell, runs a clean program, and you can see the deep love his players have for him.

msufan wrote:Hey guys, Spartan fan here. I'm really looking forward to this game. MSU fans are sort of down and out right now due to our struggling football team, so we're looking forward to basketball season.

I'm not totally sure what to expect from this game but I would probably lean Arizona by 6-8 pts. First off, we typically struggle in these early non-conference games against good teams. Izzo likes to tinker with his lineups early on, and sometimes well into the conference schedule. Also, I think our weaknesses play pretty well to your strengths. Due to injuries, we don't have much depth in the front court right now, and I understand you guys have pretty good size (though I realize you have your share of injuries as well). I just think we're going to have a really tough time in the paint, particularly on the defensive end.

That said, the 3-ball can be the ultimate equalizer, so if we shoot it well then we'll have a chance. Miles Bridges looks to be the real deal, but there's no telling how he will perform in his first collegiate game against legit competition.

I really like Sean Miller, going back to his Xavier days. I really respect your program as well, and hope we get a fun, injury-free game tomorrow!
MSUfan, if you return here, hell of a game. We have a ton of respect for your team and coach. That was a hard fought game. Obviously I'm happy Arizona won, but it means more to beat a first class program. Bridges is going to be a monster. Good luck from here on out, go kick some butt.

Down 17-2 and then we go on a 23-4 run. Held them scoreless from 12:45 to 4:58

Is that when Pinder came in? Lauri and Ristic were getting destroyed in the paint.

Pinder had by far the best +/- I think. Love what he brings. He was on Bridges at the end and the guy could not get a shot

ESPN doesnt show when he checked in but he has stats at 13:18 and 7:08 so we was a big part of that run. Dusan better step up because he deserves more time. He played 17 mins vs Ristic with 18 mins and Chance with 18 mins

Well, Kentucky's beatdown of MSU takes a bit of the luster away, but I'll still take it.

Naturally, Bridges went 2-11 instead of lighting us up. Right now MSU is hugely dependent on him for all the offense.

You know MSU had two 17-4 runs (at the start and then in the second half once we got up 43-34) against us. Once Miller made done changes on the interior we out scored them 57-29
