Vitale has been very quiet about Louisville over the past 2 years. One would think Louisville will be facing far greater NCAA violation charges than Kansas (and Arizona for that matter).Chicat wrote:I could have told you that. In Kentucky, if you ain’t cheatin’, you ain’t tryin’.UAEebs86 wrote:

Some kind of correction has to be implemented by the colleges!
A fair method for player compensation - aboveboard and transparent as coaches’ compensation at state schools...
Limit on coaching salaries/compensation - e. g. nothing higher than any dean....
A lot more, but beyond ng my (somewhat intoxicated) scope tonite!

Well I’ve watched up to the part where they try to flip Dawkins.
It seems like they gloss over what Dawkins was doing before he tried to start LOYD.
They make it seem like he just became friends with everyone and that’s how he influenced the kids. Only when FBI shows up does he talk about paying coaches.

At this point the UA administrations primary goal should be (and should have been in the spring of 2018) to get us past this mess as quickly as possible and put it in the rear view mirror.
The NCAA is going to drop the hammer on us sometime in the next few months. The UA should move heaven and earth to respond to the charges as QUICKLY as possible.......God forbid we spend 3 months arguing about it. The last thing the UA needs is for the NCAA findings to be revealed in June and then not respond until September, at which point the inevitable sanctions won't hit until the following year (2021-2022). That would only serve to butcher another recruiting class while the UA continues to suffer the death of a thousand cuts at the hands of the media (ESPN).
Our goal should be to respond quickly, and hope the NCAA sanctions us for the 2020-2021 year. That way Miller, or whomever replaces him, will be able to recruit with a clean slate and some certainty. Serving the sanctions in 2020/2021 would be preferable anyway, as its looking increasingly likely that we will not be fielding an NCAA competitive tournament team next year anyway.
The absolutely worst thing we could do would be to litigate the impending sanctions in court....in which case the agony will only be dragged out even further as the US court system rarely moves quickly.

Yes, because all recruitments are black and white. Another year misfiring on recruits for Miller. Ive got a theory, hear me out - what if this all has something to do with not having Book on staff delivering mountains CASH to the big 5* recruits like Alkins, Jelly fam guy, and Ayton ?? Nah probably not. Welp, time for another contract extension!

Book did say in the wiretaps that Miller pays guys out of his own pocket (referring to Ayton), and he undoubtedly can get his hands on mountains of cash still so he's probably still getting it done just not as consistently. I also found it very interesting that Dawkins says he knows the grad transfers. That has been our go-to the past few seasons...

Book stuff he pleaded guilty to. Like other schools like OK St who already received theirs, that's a Level 1 infraction.Postmaster wrote:No evidence that Arizona did any of that.

Arizona will receive that at minimum. It's the other stuff that we don't know what the NCAA will do.
There might be some kind of "failure to promote atmosphere of compliance" level 2 for the program and Miller, but again we don't know for sure.
