Hey 97, not to split hairs but shouldn't that be 'Miller is a Warlock' or 'Wizard' instead? ;-)

Seriously though, I think I may just sign up for the Cal board if we get Rabb.....I'm sure I'll get banned immediately for any innocuous post when they have their meltdown.

Only time I've been banned is from the Shiver the day Tarc committed and some posters were wishing he'd tear his ACL.....I suggested politley that they might not want to say this for recruiting purposes and was banned immediately and called a bad name. What a bunch of sore, classless losers!

Bear Down on Rabb making the best call for his future and becoming a Wildcat!

Full Definition of WITCH

1 : one that is credited with usually malignant supernatural powers; especially : a woman practicing usually black witchcraft often with the aid of a devil or familiar : sorceress — compare warlock

2 : an ugly old woman : hag

3 : a charming or alluring girl or woman

4 : a practitioner of Wicca

Full Definition of WARLOCK

1 : a man practicing the black arts : sorcerer — compare witch

2 : conjurer

However, I'm good with witch.

If you were an organization with a Twitter account that had 1000 followers (which you could get in about a day if you really tried), and you wanted to make a splash, you call your shot on something like this. If it works you say you knew all along. If it doesn't something changed, or you just delete the tweets and say it never happened. It's the same shit pointguardu has been doing for years.

Rabb may yet commit to Cal but some rinky-dink website isn't going to be the one to scoop everyone.

Coming soon, I guess. So, either knows who is leaving Arizona, or doesn't care, or is going to Cal.

In terms of twitter tea leaf reading, this is hard. No punctuation, decent spelling and grammar and proper use of ellipses. ****, maybe it means he's going to Cal, they have smart people there!

If Rabb were going to commit to Cal he would have already done so IMO (or will do so very shortly).
There would be no reason to delay the decision.

The fact that he's been waiting indicates that he's considering AZ/UK and waiting to see who turns pro.

If Rabb is truly waiting to see who leaves, what is everybody's odds on our starting five getting first-round guarantees?

Mine:
T.J. McConnell = 5 %
Stanley Johnson = 100 %
Rondae-Hollis Jefferson = 85 %
Brandon Ashley = 60 %
Kaleb Tarczewski = 45 %

KT is better off returning. TJ is a late 2nd rounder at best, but will probably get some free agent invites.

That's what everyone thought of Steve Kerr, and he lasted 10+ seasons.

And TJ's a better assist man than Steve. Even Billy Donovan had a cup of coffee in the league...don't count TJ out.

For those of you who say Zeus has no chance of getting a first-round guarantee, do you still think he and Ashley are leaving after this season?

Ashley = yes (after tournament MVP performance)
Zeus = maybe (Merkin thinks not)

If Kaleb blows up in the Dance like Ashley has the last three games, or even close to it as is physically possible for him, he's going to be severely tempted to take off. The NBA is in love with the height and the space taken up of players like him, even if the skills never pan out.

I'd like to dream of Zeus coming back and playing alongside Rabb, but I think we're all going to be brought crashing back to earth in early April, as 97cats alludes to.

Kidd, an elite athlete. T.J. would need Nick's athleticism for that to be true.

Beahcat, Never say never with TJ. Despite his physical limitations (6'1, average quickness by NBA guard standards) and his low shooting release, Andre Miller has had a long, solid NBA career despite only having an inch on TJ (pause) and not having great quickness himself. TJ is a great distributor and plays tough defense. He will struggle with quicker points but he wouldn't be the only point in the NBA who does. I highly doubt he goes on draft day, but I am certain he has caught the eyes of several GMs who like what he brings to the table in terms of effort, determination and ethic, leadership, etc. in addition to his game. He has a really good shot at signing as a free agent and being a D league player and from there, who knows.

Remember, this is a guy who did a damn good job on Delon Wright, who Nba gms love and is a really tough guy to guard

Don't you think the game has changed since Kerr's day? Even Lute would not have taken Kerr 3 years later. Don't see too many elite Div I teams with 2 slow white boys in the backcourt.

And to grow 3-4 inches. Physically, it just isn't a comparison. Other than both being good passers, they really have nothing in common. It's like comparing TJ to Magic because they could both pass a bit.

I'm not sure he stands to gain much in draft stock by returning. Ristic would probably cut into his minutes more, and what attracts the NBA to him isn't changeable.

yes to a point but both Tarc and Ashley's stock currently is higher than at any point for Wright with the HUGE opportunity to play themselves into even better position with a great NCAA Tournament.

If Tarc can get where he wants to, I think it is a good idea to move forward for both sides. He is a good defender but I don't see him getting significantly better for next year. If Rustic can do the Frosh-Soph jump and start to "get it" on defense with the other options, lets go.

Michael Wright who was a shade over 6'6", could not dribble or jump over a phone book, and did not return because Lute would not promise to give him time developing his skills as a 3? Otherwise, it' like deja vu.

Wright was one hell of a college BB player, better over his career than either Ash or Tarc have been - but his situation is nothing like those 2.
