So so sloppy. If we have three TOs in a row in a real game I will lose my mind. So get it out of your systems now boys.

Tubelis is super aggressive on defense.

I like the way Filip has played.

Our big men are going to be great. And teams will pack the paint against us. Kerr, Pelle, Ramey, & Bal will have to make them pay for that.

Wasn't able to see the Red/Blue game in its entirety but have seen a lot of highlights.

Some questions, for those who saw the game (or who just have been following things closely up to this point):

-on balance, have we added enough to make up for what we lost? I'm thinking in particular of Mathurin and Terry. Those two are elite athletes, and they made us lethal in the open court and in transition. They also did a fantastic job pressuring the other team's playmaker.

-has Kriisa matured enough to be our primary ball-handler/distributor?

-what's your best guess at a starting five right now? 6th man?

-who will be this team's leading scorer?

-if you were pressed to say right now whether we'll be in the NCAA tournament, yay or nay?

-who is this team's best on-ball defender?

Ummm, I don’t think we can make any prognostications based on an intrasquad scrimmage.

Never took too much from the red-blue game. They are usually pretty sloppy if you ask me.

It’s also a month before our first game. Plenty of time to get better and come together as a team.

NOT based on red/blue:

As far as adding what we lost? No. We will be a different team.

Kriisa is our primary ball handler.

Starters: Kerr, Ramey, Pelle, Azoulas, Ballo
6th man: Henderson/Bal/Henri
Also off bench: Boswell and Filip

Leading Scorer= Pelle, but will avg about 14.4

3-6 seed

Best on ball defender- Ramey.

Just from watching the red/blue, this team is not very athletic, especially compared to last year.

I am sure it will all come together but I was a bit surprised by what I saw. Sure settled for three pointers and very few could create their own shot.

Negative surprises for me were the play of Bal and Ramey. I'm sure that coaching will be a big plus but they didn't look comfortable to me. Have high hopes for Bal this year.

This was my impression too, on the athleticism.

Last season, we could beat you with size or speed. This year, it feels like we'll rely more on the former. That's not necessarily bad news, though. Ballo is a force in the paint, on both ends of the floor. And then there's Tubelis, Veesaar, Borovicanin, and Anderson. That's a lot of frontcourt depth. I'm just not seeing that this can be a run and gun team like we saw at times last season. Terry and Mathurin made that possible, mainly. Maybe this team can be more half-court oriented, with a focus on defense and trapping.

Yep. I'd think Larsson would be our guy in this department. Can we anticipate a lot of 1-12 shooting games from Kriisa?

KenPom Rankings Of Teams On Arizona's Schedule

by TheCatInTheHat
When I was in Tucson and had season tickets, I always liked to look at both the calendar and the guess-timate of rankings of the teams we'd play, and I'd dole out tickets I wasn't going to use to family and friends. So, in rank order, here are the KenPom pre-season ratings of the teams we will, or in the case of a couple of games in Maui that we might, play. Pomeroy ranks us 10, so that also gives you his guess of the power rankings in the Pac-12 this season.

4 Tennessee
11 UCLA (x2)
12 Indiana (Las Vegas)
14 Arkansas -or- 17 Texas Tech -or- 22 Creighton -or- 91 Louisville (Maui)
19 San Diego St -or- 32 Ohio St (Maui)
29 Oregon (x2)
36 USC (x2)
51 Cincinnati (Maui)
58 @ Stanford
61 Colorado
71 Washington St (x2)
72 Utah (x2)
75 Arizona St (x2)
113 Washington (x2)
146 California (x2)
168 Southern
173 Montana St
214 Texas A&M-CC
228 Oregon St (x2)
247 Nicholls St
258 Utah Tech
297 Morgan St
