All the 1seeds are being tested this week, Kansas took over in the second but Creighton kept it close for a while, down significant players.

All I need tomorrow is for AZ to have more points than TCU when the second half ends.

24 teams left. Only one ends their season with a win.

Holy fuck I hope it’s us.

Chalk grouping mostly today.

Timme became the third player to have back-to-back games of at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and 60% shooting in the past 30 NCAA Tournaments. Shaquille O'Neal in 1992 and Blake Griffin in 2009 were the other two.

Who do we want here? Illinois sucks, but I don't like the revenge factor, even if we do have an additional big now. Houston is far more athletic, and apparently are the #1 team rebounding their missed threes? We don't rebound threes very well defensively. But then again, they really don't shoot that well

Houston can't shoot though. They look good vs Illinois because they are moving fast, rebounding, etc. But they're not scoring, especially considering how many possessions there have been so far

I think TCU is a tougher match-up than either of these teams.

Really? Houston is basically a more accomplished version of TCU. Houston in San Antonio will be a dog fight. Ultimately I do agree that they probably lack the firepower but they'll be tough.

Houston is currently shooting 14% better from the field than Illinois and yet Houston is only shooting 25%. This is one fugly game. We're so blessed to have our style of play.

You know that if either team plays the Cats they will be totally focused and bring their "A" game. What was the last game that the Cats didn't get the opponents best shot?

I hope Illinois can beat Houston. They are Cockburn and a bunch of mediocre guards. We have the bigs to limit Cockburn and / or get him into foul trouble.

Go Illini... they suck

Houston. We match up better with them.

Houston only has one true big and he's not physical. Should we get Illinois in the Sweet 16 and we
get one of the officiating crews that are allowing full contact wrestling Cockburn could eat Koloko alive.

At least they started hitting some shots hopefully making for a an easier on the eyes second half. I still think Houston takes this one but it does seem likely to come down to the final few possessions

Houston it is. The Cats won't have the home court crowd. Although San Antonio is big enough it may not be that much of an advantage for Houston.

Gotta get through TCU first. After watching the #1 Seeds yesterday I'm not too comfortable with tonight's game.

As for me I don't have to be concerned about tonight. The Cats do have to be prepared but they can win.

Why do we worry about "defensive" teams whose defense isn't as good as ours and whose offense is way below ours?

Houston is #10 in both

Arizona is 7 (offense) and 20 (defense)

According to Kenpom Baylor had nothing to worry about either

or Kentucky, or Tennessee. This isn't the NBA with a best of 7......its lose or go home. TCU is quite capable of sending us packing in a 1 game format.

In games like this, it's best to forget about all of the awards and accolades (including the head coach), they don't matter. You better have a junkyard dog attitude, because these teams are looking to do what Buffalo, Wichita State and Xavier did to us.
