Pac-12 releases weekend pairings
3 hours ago • By Bruce Pascoe
The Pac-12 announced the weekly pairings for Arizona next season, all but completing the Wildcats' 2014-15 schedule.
The exact dates and times are yet to be determined -- TV will wrestle over them until probably September -- but this is enough to give a good idea of when the Wildcats will be at home and away.
Usually, the games will be played between Wednesday and Sunday of a given week, though Mondays and Tuesdays are also possible. Also, the order listed below does not imply which teams will be played first during a particular week-- that, too, is still to be determined.
Because of the Pac-12's unbalanced schedule, the Wildcats will play the Southern California and Washington schools only once again next season, but will flip-flop the venues, getting UCLA and USC at McKale and Washington and WSU on the road.
Here's the entire schedule as it looks now:
Oct. 18 (tentative) RED-BLUE GAME (scrimmage)
Nov. 9 CAL POLY POMONA (exhibition)
Nov. 14 MOUNT ST. MARY’S
Nov. 16 CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE (Maui Invitational opening game)
Nov. 19 UC IRVINE
Nov. 24-26 at Maui Invitational, Lahaina, Hawaii (fixed bracket TBA, three games, participating teams: Arizona, BYU, Chaminade, Kansas State, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Purdue and San Diego State)
Dec. 2 GARDNER-WEBB
