Good to have you back.
I would enjoy McCoy because he could be the Real McCoy. For reference:

Damn I had a feeling we weren't really recruiting Ayton because I hadn't really heard much about him but that's still really disappointing considering how good he is supposed to be and the fact that he's from Phoenix.

2 things from the other thread about 2017 I posted earlier.
1. His HS coach is Angelo Chol's HS coach;
2. Sheer and Allis think he is going over seas and there are many flags surrounding this kid. I don't know if this is still true since it was posted last June.

He's not from Phoenix. He's barely lived in the states and 95% of his time in the states has taken place in San Diego.

Damn, was hoping to land the Black Beatle.
So this could be part of play-by-play: "Harry, with the assist from Ira." Sounds like a game of Nerf hoop at the assisted living facility.

You'll have to settle for PJ from DJ. Or that Lee is advancing on Washington. DJ impresses me with both his hustle and flow. Ira seems to have a high rate of return. I perceive some danger in Harvey. Washington could create gridlock for opponents on D. If Troy gets on his horse and avoids Achilles problems, he could be a good one. I wonder what Brown could do for us?
See, it isn't just links to Real McCoy music videos here.

Hey 97 or anyone, seeing as how he just cut his list and is friendly with Stanley, is he still not coming to UA? Thanks.

If 97 gives us the no go from the jump, that leads me to believe maybe he is a guy Miller does not think would be a "perfect fit." Yes, I'm speculating here, but that's what my guts telling me.

Billy Preston's Crystal Ball Predictions
Arizona 57%
Kansas 29%
USC 14%

It's really quite simple: the crystal ball is complete and utter bullshit and the only time you should pay attention to it is 10 minutes before a recruit announces when everyone already knows where he is going.

Be able to have sex with your sister every night may be a priority for you when choosing a college, but that sick crap doesn't fly in the rest of the country.

I'm conflicted on this one seeing as how my parents met at KU and all the family members who are alumi.....BUT seeing as I loathe that vile institution, I'll give it a good LMFAO!!!
Thank God we moved to Tucson when I was a kid

Indeed. And a whole year of watching, absorbing and learning while being within an earshot of the coaches, and all of that wanting to help but not being able to and watching tough losses and not being able to do a thing about it builds up.
Im probably repeating myself here and if I already mentioned it I apologize. But I was at one of the pregame shootarounds and Im not so sure Ray is 6'8. Maybe he is a pure 6'8 and doesnt add the extra inch everyone else does, or maybe he has better posture than everyone else and doesnt slouch, but he looked as tall or taller than Tollefsen and Anderson, and it didn't look like Chance had much on him either. And hes not buff or ripped, but he's solid. He just looks like a physical freak out there and if he has any kind of wing skills and bounces back from the injury without problems, hes going to be tough out there. Easy to see why he projected so high pre-injury. He wasnt shooting around w the team, but after they left the floor he shot for a few minutes. Wasnt really using his legs (not sure if that was due to the surgery or if its how he shoots), but he was knocking them down and the shot didnt look all that bad. I got some photos, ill see if I can get them up. Simon is another guy who is bigger than you think in person, especially when u think of him as a 1 or 2.

Can kind of get an idea here. Ryan's heads down but Ray's got bend in his legs and is leaned forward.
And here's what I was talking about with Simon. Towers over "6'6" (per starting lineup) Trier.

Why is Ray Smith being talked about in the '17 class thread?
No one's saying he is going to sit a 2nd year year are they?

Rumour City in Aussie-land: Ben Simmons is considering staying in college for another year - and transferring to another school.
I don't think the local rumour-mongers quite understand the bit about having to sit out a year to transfer, but wouldn't that be a hoot?

It takes longer than a year to bring him back from the dead.

Maybe he's going D2 so he doesn't have to sit out a year.

I think the fact he just hired an agent might toss a monkey wrench into those plans.

Yeah, OK, perhaps I should explain.
Apparently the Aussie National Team is concerned that Simmons new employer in the NBA might not like him playing in the Olympics. Of course, what 17/18yo kid would NOT want to play for their country in the Olympics. So the rumour monger I was talking to was hinting that he had a contact with the family (personally, I doubt it) that indicated that he might choose to stay in school for another year, but at a different school so he could play on a contender. Of course Mr. Rumour doesn't really understand about the sit out for a year transfer rule.
But suppose Simmons decided to go that way, and suppose he choose Arizona. When would he be eligible to play? 2017.
Thus, the silly post here about something that isn't going to happen.

He's not from Phoenix, he just played one season there. He's very likely not going to college and the school in Phoenix he's going to's courses aren't NCAA approved, hence why Marvin Bagley got out of dodge.

Considering the only senior will be Allen... Then he must be counting on having Trier and Smith going pro and 3-4 of the freshmen coming in being one and done.
