Losing really sucks.

We are lacking in alit of athleticism this year.

Will still do my damndest to enjoy the season but 35 yrs being a fan every loss hurts, pains me. I try not to but it just does. Love my Arizona Basketball!

Just an off year for Arizona, mostly due to injuries due to 2 projected freshman starters. But even then the Cats don't really have a true point guard. I think the biggest problem though is no senior leadership. Zeus, York, Tolly, Anderson, none of them can even come close to TJ or Nick Johnson. That's what's missed. And like you said, real lack of athleticism. No RHJ out there. Extreme lack of lateral quickness leads to a lot of blow bys and easy buckets. Just all kinds of issues.

But still a NCAA tourney team, and with Trier back a Sweet 16 ceiling. Today's team will lucky to make it out of the first round.

All negatives and bad fortune considered, this team is still 16-5 in a "down" year. If guys pull their heads out of their rear ends, this team still has what it takes to beat just about anyone w Trier back. Think of how close this team is to being 21-0. Close losses happen, road losses happen, but really. And think of all the teams we have blown out? Washington leading the conference and we made them look like NAU.

I still think we can win out in the regular season despite last night.

Before this season, we would have thought that this team would have Ray Smith, Elliott Pitts and Allonzo Trier helping us last night. Last night was our first loss by more than 3 points all year.

Last night really sucked, but we have experienced a lot of adversity for what was always expected to be a reloading year. My biggest hope is that the team still has a good mindset. Even after all the adversity, we have no reason not to be a tourney team, and in the tourney, things happen.

We may not be having another regular season where we are an unstoppable machine that rolls over Pac competition, but it is far from terrible given the circumstances. Then, we turn to 16-17.
