Same Prez who accepted a huge pay increase while massive lay offs were occurring.

It's embarrassing. Linda Katehi, who is also an embarrassment who has done awful things at Illinois and UC Davis, was forced to quit that board.

I think is shows extremely bad judgement on her part. It tarnishes the U, also.

I think it's bad form for a real academic to shill for some for profit bullshit artists.

This woman is a disaster. She is a real prima donna. I had a friend that worked for the university. She had to "staff" Hart at an event. Hart required this person - a lawyer - to get her car, bring it around to front, cool it down by running the AC full blast...but first go to Starbucks and get her a Venti Iced Tea (which she never paid for). Seems petty but its a window into her personality.

She is almost universally reviled by those close to her.

The UC Davis chancellor is in some serious hot water. Hit the news yesterday.

Hart sounds like a disaster, CPT.

All part of her and Ducey's plan to privatize the Arizona university system.

We, the university community, lost the UA Foundation CEO because she was a bitch to him. He went to some stupid school back east that just hired a football coach today. I've never met her, but personally knowing the former CEO, he's as easy to get along with as anyone you would ever meet and if she rubbed him the wrong way, she must be a piece of work.

I'm surprised by the negativity. I under the impression Prez Hart has been super supportive of our basketball/football programs.

Fandom is not one of the qualifications of a good University President.

I think she's been a good president and has enacted some good programs to ready students for the real world. I like the move from the top floor of Admin to Old Main for the Office of the President, BUT this thing rubs me the wrong way.

It's like LH teaching Art History at ITT Tech... It's below both of them!

She just announced that she's requesting to not renew her contract with ABOR and will become faculty at the end of the 2018 academic year.

Just got the email.

Sounds like she's taking a first step to negotiate a buyout.

Weak. Embarassing. Devry thing=conflict of interest.

good tactic by hart, whether she was forced into it or not, but does the university really want a lame duck president sitting for the next 2.5 years? fuck that noise.

not sure how these things work in academia but can you accept a university president lame duck for 2.5 years? It's one thing if she had an esteemed tenure but for her it seems she was just a placeholder.

Any pressure/tactics the univeriety can play to speed up the timetable?

Hit the road jack imnsho
