When the Arizona Wildcats offered one of their remaining 2016-17 scholarships to grad transfer Talbott Denny, the former Salpointe standout found the intersection of basketball, academics and geography too much to pass up.
“Happy to announce I’m coming home for my fifth year,” Talbott tweeted Monday. “Officially signing with Arizona.”
After spending the past four years in Tennessee, playing three seasons at Lipscomb and sitting out last season with a torn labrum, Denny is opting to spend his final year of eligibility as a grad transfer at Arizona. He will be immediately eligible next season.
Twice named an Atlantic Sun Conference scholar, Denny is graduating this spring with a degree in mechanical engineering and said via text message that he wanted to pursue an MBA at Arizona’s Eller College of Management.
