Yup, we need another mascotgumby wrote:Dog named Zeus. He's ours.psiclist23 wrote:You all have probably heard of this guy. I just saw this:

I heard his dog runs really hard but has suspect hands.gumby wrote:Dog named Zeus. He's ours.psiclist23 wrote:You all have probably heard of this guy. I just saw this:

The Instagram link in NYCat's post says he's now 6'4''. I'm all for bringing him in -- there's no such thing as too many guards in college. Gotta sign the local guys when they're Arizona good.Spaceman Spiff wrote:Mannion is a great example of how hard it is to project at that age. He stays 6'1 and he's a pretty meh prospect for a high major. He grows to 6'5 and he's a really good prospect.
Spiff, you're saying we should paws on Manion then?Spaceman Spiff wrote:I heard his dog runs really hard but has suspect hands.gumby wrote:Dog named Zeus. He's ours.psiclist23 wrote:You all have probably heard of this guy. I just saw this:

Yes I agree but he was being praised for not getting involved with many elite prospects when the b.s. broke. It wasn't that he didn't wanna play in that field he just couldn't get them. Now he can and will play that game like any coach wouldBeachcat97 wrote:CatHoops wrote:But Villanova doesn't go after one and done 5star kids.

Wright is making Nova into Guard U. Pretty sure any elite guard would entertain an offer from Nova these days. That’s the hottest program in basketball.
Mannion's not a one and done. I like his game, but Nova probably sees him more in the Brunson mold.CatHoops wrote:But Villanova doesn't go after one and done 5star kids.

Mannion is bigger and way more athletic and still a sophomore. Nba scouts will be after him harder than brunsonSpaceman Spiff wrote:Mannion's not a one and done. I don't hate Nova either because I'd have done the same thing with Quinerly if roles were reversed. It is BS that we get hammered for Book asking for money and saying it was for Quinerly, but no one makes a peep when Quinerly signs with Nova.YoDeFoe wrote:Also: "We don't get involved in dirty recruiting."CatHoops wrote:But Villanova doesn't go after one and done 5star kids.

picks up Quinerly
Good things happening for Nova and no real hate towards them, but the fans need to catch up.
Currently ESPeNis has only ASU and UA as intrests.NYCat wrote:Would be hilarious
Good. Walker's recruitment does not sound particularly clean.ChooChooCat wrote:Arizona will not be involved, our logo is in the picture for hype purposes alone.

Yes, he's one of our top priorities at his position.azcat49 wrote:My grandson (who is 6’5” with a size 16 shoe) plays as a freshman on the JV team. Not sure but I certainly wouldn’t mind a shift to a more developmental recruiting approach.Beachcat97 wrote:For someone in the know, I'm seeing a lot of offers to 4-stars. ^this - I think CSM is expecting some type of sanction at some time. Having loyal guys in the program who know his system will be huge in bridging whatever gap needs to be bridged. Just as important, as a hedge against the fall of the one and done. The '20 class is likely to be the last 1AD group w/ '21 able to go straight to the NBA draft.ChooChooCat wrote:"You recruit who you can land."Beachcat97 wrote:For someone in the know, I'm seeing a lot of offers to 4-stars. That's ok if we don't lose the entire '19 class to one and done.Beachcat97 wrote:Also, my initial glance at the '20 class gives the impression that -- as a whole -- it's not on the same level as '19.
Yeah, there have been a number of five-star and high ranked four-stars that have come through here that do not live up to the billing, not even close. Akot and Randolph are two recent players that come to mind.zonagrad wrote:goslingswagg wrote:Could be a blessing in disguise...ChooChooCat wrote:"You recruit who you can land."Beachcat97 wrote:For someone in the know, I'm seeing a lot of offers to 4-stars. Akot was a 5 star. I'm not sold on the "star" system. I prefer the eye test and a coach's assessment.
