High school students maybe. When I was at the UA like 8-12 years ago the rodeo had absolutely no bearing on anyone's schedule or plans. All classes are still going on like normal. I didn't even know there was a rodeo.UAEebs86 wrote:Rodeo Weekend - are they going to be enough students around?
I'm remembering a lot of students bugging out of town for that four day break.

UA doesn't get Rodeo off. Maybe they used to?

Oldddd. Pretty sure it's been a good 15-20 years since that happened. I'm pretty sure at least no time this century.gumby wrote:No. 4 vs. No. 5.
Man, wish I could attend.
P.S. I remember having Rodeo Day off school. Big Rocky Point weekend, as I recall.
I went to UA from 94-97 and we never had rodeo day off. Pima College did though.ASUHATER! wrote:Oldddd. Pretty sure it's been a good 15-20 years since that happened. I'm pretty sure at least no time this century.gumby wrote:No. 4 vs. No. 5.

OMG the split screen nearly cost me a TV...60" split in two still as irritating as hell...fortunately I know to clear away things I can throw near the TV for every cat game I watch...heart attack cats have earned a throw proof watching environment...gumby wrote:We get Bilas. So we''ll find out if this split screen thing is just for Walton.
Those were the days. How'd we lose them?gumby wrote:Yeah, way back ... to a time when young fellas were seen but not heard.ASUHATER! wrote:Oldddd. Pretty sure it's been a good 15-20 years since that happened. I'm pretty sure at least no time this century.gumby wrote:No. 4 vs. No. 5.

I wouldn't get my hopes too high, but it certainly can't hurt things to have him see the atmosphere on Saturday.CatFanOneMil wrote:Trevon Duval will be at UA for gameday...that might be a recruiting coup..Wow!

Didn't mean to mislead...frog and no choves are still there. But they are "different" IMO.
No Anchovies was closed for what seemed like a year for their remodel. They completely gutted the entire building and just reopened on New Years Eve. Pizza Kitchen didnt change all that much but the bar got much bigger with a lot more seating and new booths. They redid the outside area with more TVs and tables. They also opened up the second floor and added square footage onto the back of the existing structure. Another bar upstairs, tons of lounge seating, gaming, a DJ booth, dance floor and 2 outdoor areas one of which overlooks University Ave like Illegal Petes. They have 65 TVs now and still no servers outside so that didn't change. I ran into Ka'deem Carey there a few weeks ago upstairs and damn can that guy put some drinks down!CalStateTempe wrote:In what ways?
yep. if stupid oregon had lost last night then tomorrow's game would be for the sole pac 12 title. now it is still for the title, but just guaranteeing that we'd share it with oregon at the least.azcat49 wrote:AZ opens as a 2 point favorite.
I think this will be a lot more electric than that December game against Florida. So much ridfridfing on this one. It is big
ya, i dont know about that -- i was right behind the bench at that Florida game, and have been to many many others at McKale and that was the loudest and most electric ive ever witnessed.azcat49 wrote:AZ opens as a 2 point favorite.

as you know i was there too, and the loudest i had been at before that was in 1998 when Stanford came to town and Arizona waxed the then #8 Cardinal 90-58 on Senior night to get to 17-1 in conf sending off everyone significant from the 97' national title team except Jason Terry in their last game at McKale.Jefe wrote:Gonna be hard to beat that Florida crowd. yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!azcat49 wrote:Well here is to hoping it is a level above, both in electricity and in our play.
In any event it is a HUGE game with far reaching implications beyond this game
Huh? Currently we are in sole possession. Not following.ASUHATER! wrote:yep. if stupid oregon had lost last night then tomorrow's game would be for the sole pac 12 title. now it is still for the title, but just guaranteeing that we'd share it with oregon at the least.azcat49 wrote:AZ opens as a 2 point favorite.

That was a different day. It may have been the New Mexico Bowl, but the comeback was nuts. And it was streaming rain. Rain turns desert dwellers a little psychotic, like it is a mild hallucinogen.97cats wrote:ya, i dont know about that -- i was right behind the bench at that Florida game, and have been to many many others at McKale and that was the loudest and most electric ive ever witnessed.azcat49 wrote:AZ opens as a 2 point favorite.
