Bear Down Wildcats

Four-star power forward Zeke Nnaji announced a verbal commitment to Arizona at a ceremony at Hopkins (Minn.) High on Friday.

Nnaji picked the Wildcats over Baylor, Kansas, North Carolina, Purdue and UCLA. Nnaji took official visits to five of the schools and took an unofficial visit to UNC last weekend.

Nnaji, who played for D1 Minnesota on the Adidas circuit this past spring and summer, is ranked as the No. 8 power forward and the No. 35 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.


Arizona now has five pledges in the 2019 class. Nnaji joins five-star recruits Nico Mannion and Josh Green, plus four-star propsects Terry Armstrong and Christian Koloko to make up their current class.

The Nnaji commitment bumps Arizona’s 2019 recruiting class to No. 1 in the 247Sports Team Rankings.

This shit is so crazy, and I mean that in a very broad sense.

This is worth a minor celebration for to everything that has happened in the past 18 months. With the Ayton nugget, thought for sure it was the death of our program. Kudos Miller for continuing to blaze the recruiting trail.

I only say minor because recruiting classes don't gurantee success (Final Fours ect) but it's a correlation for sure. Don't get me wrong, this is a great achievement with all odds stacked against our program for sure.
