Probably jumping the gun on the Pac-12 presidents' meeting today, but I'm optimistic. In any event, here's a summary of who's gone, who stayed, and who was added. I cut the projected key rosters off at 7 players, so somebody who averaged 1.2 ppg last year or was an unheralded recruit will no doubt breakout and become a starter somewhere, but them's the breaks.

Pritchard is not playing another year at Oregon is ge? Dude has been In school longer than Van Wilder

Edit: saw you said they lose him. That makes sense. Who knows what happens this year with no home court advantage. Some team like UCLA might surprise

1. UCLA - continuity, momentum
2. Oregon - a lot of upside, a lot unproven
3. Arizona - see above, slightly lower upside imo
4. ASU - the dichotomy of the backcourt/frontcourt is hard to gauge. expect them to be fun to watch (implode)
5. USC - Lots of talent
6. Colorado - believer in McKinley wright
7. Stanford - Could be better, hard to replace a lead guard like Terry
8. CAL - best of the rest IMO
9. Utah - Coach K , experience
10. Washington:
11. Wash ST.
12. Oregon ST

Call me crazy, but ASU may be the best team in the conference.

Remy is going to destroy this UA team. He did against much better UA teams.

They have zero posts. If their guards are hot they’ll be hard to beat. If they’re off they’re a gimme.

I almost wrote it as "Height-Challenged ASU." 6-8 Lawrence, 6-8 Cherry, and a skinny freshman off the bench. Losing White was huge to them. They're the darlings of the media this season, and Martin can a problem with inept Pac-12 refs, with his pro wrestling head snap (embellished by the hair) as he initiates contact on offense, and all of his flops on defense. But somebody's got to get you the ball. I'd think teams with tall guards who play an aggressive extended zone will give them problems, as well as teams with a lot of depth and size up front. In any event, we'll see how Team Hurley handles being hunted.

I think these are valid criticisms of ASU's roster, but I also think Hurley can let them run and gun their way to a lot of Ws. They're adding offense in Christopher and Woods. UCLA's roster looks better than Oregon's to me, but Ducks have the better coach.

I feel more unsure about this AZ roster than any for quite some time. Wild cards left and right. Miller will have his work cut out. I'd be pretty surprised if we finished top 3.
