That one has been in the quiver.
Guess it wasn’t in doubt for a while!

Here's the udub and nikeu share of the big tenIn the Big 12, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah will receive a full $31.7 million annually in media rights revenue (not including other league revenue from College Football Playoff, etc.) once the Big 12’s new six-year $2.3 billion Grant of Rights deal with ESPN and FOX begins in 2025, sources said.
In 2024, the three schools also will receive a full Big 12 revenue share, estimated to be about $42 million, a source said. In 2025, that “all-in” number is expected to be around $50 million annually per school, industry sources said.

They don't like their refs either.KillerKlown wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 7:32 pm I'm ready for the growing pains of being in a tough, passionate conference but it'll be worth it in the end. NO MORE PAC REFS!!!
Colorado trip won’t change.scumdevils86 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 7:30 pm I will miss the few road trips I got to take to Oregon, LA, Colorado etc. Lubbock
, Morgantown, Manhattan, and Stillwater don't make me want to hop a plane. I preferred being associated with the West Coast so that blows but it was time to old yeller this thing I guess.
It will be nice to be mad at a different group of refs for a change.KillerKlown wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 7:32 pm I'm ready for the growing pains of being in a tough, passionate conference but it'll be worth it in the end. NO MORE PAC REFS!!!
Had to go look up my password. Welcome to the Big 12 and I will enjoy the perennial beat down we will be giving you in basketball.Alieberman wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 6:32 pm Cannot wait for Enfugo to start posting here again! It’s on!

I can tell you typed that with your chest puffed out and your head held high. Hope your Jaychickens don’t disappoint you. Of course we’ll never know because you never post after they lose.enfuego wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 11:04 amHad to go look up my password. Yo, those were legit technical losses UA suffered to both Colorado and Utah. We'll be locking the candy machines in Lawrence when you all come to town. I'm excited to watch Kansas play locally and two hours drive.Alieberman wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 11:08 amEnjoy your technical wins against us!enfuego wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 11:04 amHad to go look up my password. Fair enough, 50/50. I know the travel is less ideal for those of us in AZ. I am looking forward to some potential benefits in start times for bball and football though. Maybe less 9 pm basketball tips and 8 pm football kicks.Chicat wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 8:14 pmColorado trip won’t change.scumdevils86 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 7:30 pm I will miss the few road trips I got to take to Oregon, LA, Colorado etc. Lubbock

Morgantown is a riot. Went there once and partied about as hard as I ever have.
I’ll grant you Manhattan, Stillwater, and Lubbock should be avoided like the clap.
But Phog?? Dallas? Houston? Cincy? Hell yes! Might even combine a UCF game with a Disneyworld trip. Let’s go!
Want to wager on it?
My first choice is for you to move to Albania and drink bleach, but I never get what I want the way I want it. That's rule #1.
I would take that bet since the territorial cup game will likely be showcased along with the holy war game as they will jump immediately to the best two rivalry games in the conference and they will want to showcase those games on the networks
I'd like to see Arizona be part of the mountain time zone where it is always an hour ahead of the west coast. That would mean all the games west of Ohio would be 0-1 hour time difference.Alieberman wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 6:48 am I'm curious how playing in a league where a majority of the teams are not in the Pacific timezone is going to make our average game start time later than it currently is?
Then again... I'm curious as to the rational of most of Machina''s thoughts....
If FOX or ESPN wants a late game and either us or ASSu are home I can see a late kickoff coming our way.Alieberman wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 6:48 am I'm curious how playing in a league where a majority of the teams are not in the Pacific timezone is going to make our average game start time later than it currently is?

At least it will be shown on Fox or ESPN and not the Pac-12 Network.azgreg wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 8:19 amIf FOX or ESPN wants a late game and either us or ASSu are home I can see a late kickoff coming our way.Alieberman wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 6:48 am I'm curious how playing in a league where a majority of the teams are not in the Pacific timezone is going to make our average game start time later than it currently is?

I’ve been talking the wife’s ear off for days about the move to the Big12 and she said yesterday, “All I want to know is if you’ll still be coming to bed at 1am pissed off because Arizona lost.”EastCoastCat wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 7:46 am Time to show ECC some loving. Having said that, I think a little rep is in order for years and years of staying up to the wee hours watching games and even contributing to game threads.
In the Big 12 agreement with fox and espn there was the pro rata extension for any power 5 school jointing the big 12 (I believe up to 4 additional schools). Meaning the new schools would get full shares and the overall tv deal for the conference would automatically increase without negations with the networks.Alieberman wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 6:48 am I'm curious how playing in a league where a majority of the teams are not in the Pacific timezone is going to make our average game start time later than it currently is?

That is not what will happen. It depends on the matchup and how good UA is. For example if Kansas is playing at UA in basketball the game won't be played at 7 pm, and probably played on a Saturday afternoon because it will receive a lot of eyeballs. If UA is good in football a home game with TCU is not going to be played in the evening because of eyeballs. Not all home games are going to be a 7 pm or later. If the Cats are playing NAU then yes, the game will start late.PHXCATS wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 8:39 amIn the Big 12 agreement with fox and espn there was the pro rata extension for any power 5 school jointing the big 12 (I believe up to 4 additional schools). Well no one would leave the B1G or SEC for the Big 12 and the ACC is in a close to unbreakable GOR with huge buyouts so that was obviously written for potential PAC-12 teams.
Now why would espn and fox do that and not care which Pac-12 teams were coming on? The networks didn’t even need to approve. Because the one valuable thing the PAC12 has that no one else does. Power schools that can play home games in the 10pm eastern windows. That is why they added that and that is why there is an excellent case that the PAC12 would have in suing espn and fox.
Fox can use big fox or fs1 now for power games in that window and espn can use espn espn 2 or espnu for those games. They are gonna want to use as many as possible in that slow. Thus why every UA home football game is gonna be 7pm or later
Lets make a bet on it then. $100 to the winner's choice of charity? Something lese?Catintheheat wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 8:47 amThat is not what will happen.
