Which eye are you going to watch the game with???
Well, I'm one eyed Arizona, but I'll be using both eyes.

I am assured I'll be able to see out of the new eye immediately if not sooner. I expect I'll have a transparent protective cover of some sort, but not a pirate's patch. We'll see (I hope).
Trust me, the non-corrected eye will be such a drag, by comparison, you may want to cover it.
Maybe eventually but right now its worse than when I started, but I am sure it will take some settling in.

Aaaand - the game is not on ESPN in Aussie land, they've got ice hockey or arm wrestling or some such on instead.
Watch ESPN is broadcasting "your program is about to start" on every channel including channels that have been 'live' for hours.

I might just be in trouble here.

2 out of 3 ain’t bad! We withstood the turnovers by not allowing them second chance points and never getting rattled.

I think he’s a Duke fan, in which case that is a sweet self-own. I’d never say it’s no big deal to come into McKale and get a win like it’s any old arena and we’re just any old middling team.

It did seem like they let more contact go in second half. Weird how the fouls were called in second half.

I saw a post about that. Arizona had the first 6 fouls of the 2nd half at the under 12 minute mark, with 3 players with 3 fouls. Don't think any UA player ended up with 4.

Duke didn't have a 2nd half foul until the under 12 minute mark, but Arizona ended up shooting 2 FTs as Duke was in the double bonus end of game.

Numbers or clock might be off, but the gist is correct.

My favorite CTL quote from the post-game presser:

“My message to the guys was it’s real simple: play with poise. Then I said, ‘Why do you think I want you to play with poise?’ ‘Well, you’ll make good decisions; don’t panic; don’t let the crowd get to you.’

“I said ‘No. Play with poise because you’re the better team. Trust that you’re the better team over the course of 40 minutes.’ I knew that it would be a small margin but I feel like that. I love this group of guys and feel like we’re going to be as good a ball club as anybody in the country.”

When I went out around halftime to grab some dinner, I was listening on SiriusXM Fox Sports, and they had the Learfield Sports feed from Tucson on. Ryan Hansen was the color commentator, but it wasn't Brian Jefferies, it was some other play-by-play guy.

Anyone know why Brian Jeffries wasn't on the call? I'm sure he would have loved to call that game.

"They're a very good team but … I didn't think we played our best despite that," Scheyer said. "I think the biggest thing for me is we didn't play together. That's hard for me to swallow."

Love how effusive praising our win their coach was. Oh wait, he played for Rat Face so this explains it

Arizona did play together. So many extra passes down the stretch and absolutely ZERO hero ball.

We are a great team Jon Scheyer. When the committee puts you as the 2 seed in the region where we are the 1, you’ll find that out in the Elite 8.

SO there were many outstanding and critical plays in last nights game. I came up with 2 that I thought directly help either win the game or gave us confidence we were going to be fine when Duke made a run.
1. Kylan's step back 3 over the Duke all american when we were down 1 or 2 I think. The team just looked different after that shot and I think they kept that the whole game.
2. KJ's baseline score and one at the end of the game right after Duke had taken the lead and did the floor slam. We needed that and he sensed it. Probably one of the toughest shots in the game.

A short video on Tommy Lloyd and Arizona's decision to switch Oumar Ballo onto Mark Mitchell instead of Kyle Filipowski during the second half of the game at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

By making the change, Arizona was able to switch ball screens and keep Ballo in the paint to protect the rim.
