Boettcher is a 6-2, 283, redshirt Freshman offensive lineman from Desert Mountain HS, Scottsdale, AZ. A walk-on who was an all city center and wrestler in high school as well as the team's academic player of the year, Boettcher gives us more depth on the line. He is also working hard in the classroom majoring in Biochemistry.

6.9 was Jerrard Randall's rushing average last year on 15 attempts.
