Sumlin+Tate+Beer+Good home schedule should equal a pretty big bump in attendance. If we actually have a good 4-0 type start we'll probably sell out a couple games.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

Undoubtedly it will be Budweiser and Bud Light. Yuck! Hopefully they will sell craft beers, probably locally.

Ohio State sells Miller, Blue Moon, One other national craft I forget, and a few local ones. Would love that mix here.

As someone who just lived in Salt Lake City for the last 4 years, can we take a moment to   that the first game of full alcohol sales will be against BYU?

But seriously, this is great news for the department.

My guess it'll be the same or roughly the same mix as they have at baseball games.

IMO all the businesses in the stadium should be local, or Arizona based.

There's like 15 breweries in town, no reason to not have 2-3 local beers on top of 2-3 Miller/Bud options.

Ohio State had very reasonable pricing on their beer last year. Not Falcons good but very good for a stadium. I believe Hi Corbet does too. So hopefully 5 or less for a beer

Yea it's a no brainer using some local if possible. Could set up a local producer sales locations in the stadium, keep it simple selling 3 of its products to cover the spectrum, like a blond ale, an amber beer, and a dark beer, think they'd do well.

Utah does this, albeit with food vendors, not alcohol. Would love it if we did too. It really improves the game day experience, being able to real food and quite a variety. (They do have traditional concession stands as well)

One issue is that it takes a lot of concourse space. I'm sure it would really easy to add a couple beverage vendors though.

I would hope they follow the UofA baseball method. Mass produced beer at concession stands and craft/specialty beer available at kiosks. There are usually local taps available at these. I have a longer list of locals that I’d want sold than fit into existing distribution agreements and that’ll be what it’s all about. That said, you can usually get some decent beer at Hi Corbett. I’m happy for this development in general, but I’ll likely not be taking too much advantage of it as I typically use game time to sober up from tailgating. Cheers!

Looks like we are adding food vendors like Utah!

https://arizonawildcats.com/news/2018/8 ... adium.aspx" target="_blank
Wildcat fans will now be able to enjoy an eegee's frozen drink, a delicious treat generations of Tucsonans have grown up with at events at Arizona Stadium, McKale Center, and Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium. Epic Café was also announced as a new food vendor for those three Arizona Athletics venues. Epic Café represents the sandwich category and promises to offer hearty meat sub sandwiches in addition to healthy alternatives such as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Two local barbeque establishments will join Arizona Stadium this season, BrushFire BBQ and Carole's Up In Smoke BBQ. The Sweet Dough Co. will offer donut bites at home events at Arizona Stadium this fall.

Eegees – nearly all concourse areas
Epic Café – Upper east (7th level) and mid-level (4th level) east concourse areas, south end zone concourse, and west (2nd and 4th levels) concourses
BrushFire BBQ – Mid-level (4th level) east concourse
Carole's Up In Smoke BBQ – West (2nd and 4th levels) concourses
Sweet Dough Co. Donuts – West (2nd and 4th levels) concourses
TBA Mexican vendor – Upper east (7th level) and mid-level (4th level) east concourse areas, south end zone concourse, and west (2nd and 4th levels) concourses

What are the top local brewery's now adays that we should be hoping for?

Nimbus was alright but now that it is closed I am not sure what the Tucson ones are. I do get some Tucson Blonde from Bario at the CVS on University before tailgates sometimes but that is the only Bario one I have had.

Catalina
Dragoon

In the email that just went out:

NEW since June - Concession options
Arizona Stadium will now offer a wide variety of food and beverage options, including new local vendor partners. Epic Café, Brushfire, Carole’s Up In Smoke BBQ, The Sweet Dough Co., and eegee’s are all coming to Arizona Stadium this fall. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase to the general public at limited concession stands for fans 21 and over.

In addition, credit cards will now be accepted at all concession stands. No more “cash only” stands.

I'm only familiar with Barrio, but that's not out of being stuck up or anything, I'm just not in Tucson as much as I would like to be and when I do it's absorbed with adhering to both mine and my wife's families. Blah.

Curious to see if any of the above get the nod. Especially Dragoon, since they have the distribution power to accommodate the volume of beer Arizona Stadium will sell. It'll probably be Barrio though, which is solid but uninspiring.

Agreed. Although it is far better on draft than it is in cans. Which means it’ll be served out of cans... If you ever get the chance (a rare bird), try the Blonde aged in Independent Gin barrels.

Dragoon Santa Cruz’r FTW in this circumstance.

Very disappointing selection. Barrio blonde is as boring and safe a choice as possible that isn't a ton different than the other beers there. There's literally 15 breweries in town that could provide 40+ options of beer that people would like and aren't things like quadruple ipas or cask aged sour beers or anything weird.

No but adding even 1 more local beer and replacing one of the crappy beers isn't exactly risky.

Hope they sold enough beer to make up for the apathy they just gave to the fans for free.
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:
