A loss is highly likely, but these kids won't quit like the players last season, who gave up in the first 5 minutes, esp Grant Gunnell. Good riddance. Quitting all led by the then current head coach, who quit even before the game started.

Gary Brightwell had 3 fumbles too.

Gunnell is out for the Memphis season due to leg surgery, and looks like Brightwell has 1 carry for 4 yards this season, along with 1 reception for 6 yards for the Giants.

So those 3 are gone, and Plummer is a lot better now. Just hope he can stay healthy.

ASU is the Jekyl and Hyde of the Pac12. Not just from game to game but from quarter to quarter. They are loaded with talent but don't underestimate their ability to shit their pants screw something up. If we come out hard, there is always a chance.

That's it in a nutshell. We have no Plan B, and ASU knows it. No skin off their noses if they sacrifice a player or two to ejection for targeting or late hits out of bounds to guarantee the win. Last year's display by Sumlin, Gunnell, and some others was disgusting. If nothing else, I'm sure we'll be motivated to play for 60 minutes and show plenty of heart. And, who knows...maybe we'll get some calls and bounces. As far as the other side goes, after the annual over-hype by the Phoenix media, they're playing to avoid the ultimate slap in the face after a disappointing season. They know the jig is up after this game. Nobody cares which bowl they go to, Herm & Co will be gone, the transfer-out portal will be full, no recruits are coming in, and they'll be on probation. For them, it's one game to "end" things at home on a positive note. So, we have a rough assignment. Maybe DVR it and watch later if there's a reason to.

ASu played the most uninspired, unmotivated, undisciplined game at Oregon State. Something like 8 false start penalties. It was like Utah winning the South sucked the life out of ASu.

One would think both teams would be up for the match up, but we saw last year, that's not always the case. Especially if one team gets punched in the mouth early. If we can do that to ASu this year, we have a chance.

Going to be a very physical game. You have to think cheap shots on Plummer will be plenty. Their defense hasn’t recorded a sack in like three games so hopefully we can keep him clean but they will waste 15 yards and an ejection.

As a fan I really want this one but I want it more for these kids who have played their hearts out this year. This might be my favorite group ever. Imagine going two years and grinding and getting one win? I just hope they end this year and in some cases their career with a win in their rivals stadium.

a 2-8 Arizona team that had a bad offense beat an 8-2 ASU team in 2004. Was in Tucson of course, but if this team treats this game like their national championship and ASU plays like they did last week, we have a chance. Still wouldn't bet on it though.

We do have a chance. Do not underestimate ASU's ability to poop their britches at any time. I'm with you on this 100%. I've enjoyed watching these guys play all season.

True but I think they think they are far to good to elevate an assistant coach. Remember they are a sleeping giant.

I think they stick with Herm because the coaching pool will be thin given the number of jobs open this year and the fact those penalties might not be known for awhile
