Actually didn't even know there was a game tonight.
Re: Tonight’s Championship Game
Just at about the same level as the holiday bowl or the AZ bowl to me. No interest
Waiting at the Rose Bowl patiently for the cats to arrive

Re: Tonight’s Championship Game
Fuck the SEC.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Re: Tonight’s Championship Game
I do. I hate the SEC like most here, but love college football. If you want to be like them, you have to watch them, coach like them, recruit like them, and maybe one day - we start winning more like them.
Go Dogs!
(Maybe Saban loses and retires)

I’m watching ESPN2 Film Room with the TAMU staff. Love hearing coaches breaking down the game.

Aw, that just breaks my heart.

Gotta admit, watching Alabama lose on a Pick 6 was hilarious.
“The reality is that the hardest games to win are over teams on their home court. Teams that don’t play those games can spin it however they want, but what they’re saying is, ‘We don’t want to lose in our non conference season.’" - Sean Miller

Re: Tonight’s Championship Game
Saban was an idiot at the end not to put a knee down and run out the clock. Down by 15, 60 yards away, 39 seconds left, 2 & 38 and he takes two timeouts. His quarterback got sacked three times on that drive and almost got a couple of receivers killed.
Just admit when you lost and take a knee out of respect.

Even the Film Room guys said "this will be the longest 50 seconds" because coaches are wired to have their teams fight until the last snap.
Re: Tonight’s Championship Game
I don't see this happening as much in the college game as I do in the NFL.MountainCat wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 10:09 pm Saban was an idiot at the end not to put a knee down and run out the clock. In the NFL coaches generally don't want to risk injuries to multimillion dollar players in a game that is already lost. In the college level, especially a national championship game, that same mindset doesn't exist.
