Schools are cooling on the #10 ranked LB and 124th ranked player in the class?
Re: 2015 recruits/commitment thread
Fit. Think of reasons why schools weren't recruiting Isaac Hamilton and he was a top 30 player in his class.

Amazing how RR and MattyD never lose a recruit they're going after right to the end. They're batting 1.000 with recruits they want.
we're very lucky to have a staff that can spot the ones with "character issues" ... at the eleventh hour... every single time.

Our defense has the perfect spot for Tezino...the Bandit. Not to mention the potential defensive chemistry between Ware, Cobb, Carr, and Tezino.

AZ making a push for a JC defensive end (3 Star)

Coffeyville C.C. defensive tackle Bobby Leath will take his first official visit of the process this upcoming weekend. He will head to Iowa State for his first look at the Cyclone campus. It'll be a significant trip as Paul Rhoads and company look to add a defensive lineman to the class.
His teammate, defensive end Timmy Hamilton, has had his eye on Arizona for a long time. The Wildcats have offered and are now making a big push for the lineman. He will take his official visit to Arizona on December 13.

Re: 2015 recruits/commitment thread
I hope we have a lot of recruits coming to Tucson for the Territorial Cup. This is going to be a big one.
Re: 2015 recruits/commitment thread
With all this success do we have some exciting news on the recruiting front on the way? For those in the know , no need to mention any names. A simple "yes", "not so much", or "freakin' A mo-fo hold-onto-your-ass-you-won't-believe-the-guys-we-will-probably-get!!!!" will suffice. Thanks in advance.

Re: 2015 recruits/commitment thread
Timmy Hamilton will be a Wildcat and the success this year will help more with the 2016 class. Although it might swing a couple guys our way or at least help (Raequan Williams, Dedrick Young, and McGinnis)

I'd imagine so. But is the door closed on McKenzie? Vols are 5-6 this year. If there were ever a chance to flip a kid, I'd think this would be it.catgrad97 wrote:So the door is totally closed on Tabor coming back?

Eebs, I'm sure the Tabor ship has sailed.
But I would be surprised if the staff haven't made a few phone calls here and there to let KM know that he's still an OKG and how much we love him.
That would be a coup for the ages.

Honestly I don't know much about the K Thomas situation. Hard to read how the Staff feels about his ASSU verbal.
Word is he may be a qualifying risk, so the staff backed off, but we are in a nice situation right now. Never been better!
BTW, I'm glad to see you don't hate me anymore.

He took a visit to Wazzou this weekend. Don't know what that means for the Scum, but I would be surprised if he ended up here. Coaches don't want to take risks. Dedrick Young was seemingly down to Nebraska and Arizona.. 1 of the 2 fired their coach this weekend. You guys should be able to figure it out.3goggles wrote:That would be a huge get. Also love that we picked up yet another pass rusher. Losing Pettinato will hurt, but were getting some talent to plug in there and will hopefully add another in Raequan Williams.

Academic risks? I mean yeah some of them get their sh*t together and qualify, but some of them don't and by taking them you don't get to take another kid in the class.Harvey Specter wrote:We've taken plenty of risks in the past and some of them have turned out quite nicely...catinfl wrote:He took a visit to Wazzou this weekend. I know HeHateMe was really high on him. Chief wasn't as impressed. I'll go with HHM

Raequan Williams is down to Iowa, Arizona, MSU, and Oregon. Family is pushing for UofA and he has some family down in Tucson. Absolute monster at 6'6 280. Could play any position on the DL and would be a BEAST if he lived up to his potential.

He's intrigued by MSU and has visited Iowa multiple times. I'd put it at 40% UA 40% MSU 20% Iowa at this point.3goggles wrote:What percentage do you think that we have of landing this kid?catinfl wrote:Raequan Williams is down to Iowa, Arizona, MSU, and Oregon. Any updates/thoughts on Anthony Fotu?
Re: 2015 recruits/commitment thread
It appears that Fotu is down to the UA, UW, and Miss. State. It also appears that UW is poaching one of our recruits.3goggles wrote:Any updates/thoughts on Anthony Fotu?
http://www.uwdawgpound.com/2014/12/3/73 ... ber-update
A new prospect on the radar is another JC guy, DT Anthony Fotu. The younger brother of Illinois DT Joe Fotu, he has offers from all across the country including Illinois, Miami (FL), Ole Miss, TCU and Maryland. The three that have the best shot at him are Mississippi State, Arizona and the Huskies. He's planning to visit in a couple of weekends from now and then decide shortly after when the early JC signing period starts on December 17th, so the timing looks good for the Dawgs to get him on board.
http://247sports.com/Player/Anthony-Fotu-52351
Another DL the Huskies are looking hard at is current Arizona commit Ricky McCoy. While McCoy is being recruited as a TE by the Wildcats, he reportedly prefers defense. He's set to visit Washington in mid-January, and knowing that RichRod typically yanks offers from commits that visit other schools, one would have to assume that his status as an Arizona commit is tenuous at best.
Re: 2015 recruits/commitment thread
Why dont we have him at DE instead of TE? Why the hell do we recruit TE's in 3 years have you seen a TE play?
