I've always wondered why they went away from the recognition stickers on the helmets. Hardly ever see them anymore. I think I have see some teams still using them, but, not very many nowadays.

Never did forgive Smith for the way he left, although moving back to Tucson and volunteering help with the team did take some of the tarnish off of that.
