This should be the most interesting season we've had in a long time. It'll be hard to match the fun of last year though.

I'm thinking 8-4 but the ceiling is much higher if we stay healthy.

If this team still has the cohesiveness, and never-give-up attitude of last year, it will be a VERY special season.

I think we would have to win a first round playoff game to get into the Rose Bowl this year under the current format.

Really hard year to gauge.

Not only did we lose the vast majority of the coaching staff, but the coaches that left took a lot of important players with them.

I could see us going anywhere from 6-6 to 12-0. Realistically, we have lost too much on the defensive line (I still have no idea why Jacob Kongaika left for asu?????) to seriously challenge for the Big12 title. I'll go with 8-4.

Really? Tre Smith looks as good as Ward. Coleman’s production should be replaced by committee. Davis is way too light to be an impact guy. Prysocks is probably the best of what we lost and right now he is listed as a co starter at UDub. Patterson looks better than Green who is hurt anyway

Our graduating guys are going to be tough to replace. Cowings, TMac (TE), Morgan and Williams/Wiley are all NFL guys but the coaches didn’t take them. All those incoming freshman wouldn’t make an impact this year.

The entire interior defensive line: Norton/Savea/Kongaika

Prysock/Coleman you already mentioned. We also lost our top speed rush ends (Ward/Davis) so the DL has been devastated.

In addition, I am also concerned with completely changing up the offense. Fisch ran a Pro style (LA) offense which was quite effective.
It remains to be seen if Brennan/Babers can replace Fisch's offensive acumen.

Agree on the offense and its style. We lost Norton, Savea and Kong and I think Kongaika will end up being the biggest loss in this new scheme.

Smith will be better than Ward and Davis still needs to eat more (far to light). I like Tai Tai and Kenely better but we will see if they eclipse the 2.5 sacks Davis got

I'm guessing your thoughts have changed since August. dmjcat is the only one who thought this season would be challenging. I don't think I ever remember a season as disappointing as this one. I think losing JCM has been a real problem. We lost both Coleman and JCM this season
