Was hampered by an injury most of the year. Played a little. When healthy he's pretty good.

What I am asking is if I am a "Two Star" in my Junior year of HS am I always going to be a two star?

What if I lead the state and Nation in TD's, tackles, or Interceptions my Senior year because my Jr year in HS I was injured or just learning the game.
I mean if RichRod, Michigan, Florida, USC, Washington, and Alabama are recruiting me, doesn't my number of "stars" change?

Also, will any of our current recruits get an additional star since the HS seasons are over.
I think one of our recruits lead his team to the LA state title and was the Player of the year (POY).

Its a crime if he isn't going to get another star, making him a 4 star?
Unfortunately, most of the stars come from a player's junior year. And even those ranking usually reflect how many camps the kid went to and how they performed at the given recruiting service's camps. Lots of kids can't afford to go to the camps or have other things going on, and that's when the recruiting services miss on rankings in my opinion. If a kid doesn't go to camps, they are rarely rated highly. They do reevaluate, but rarely does a senior three star go to a four star just because he had a good season.

Yup. All the time. But just because they do well in a season and on a team doesnt always mean they should be 3/4/5 stars either. It's a balance between current ability and ability to morph into a college player as well. Like with the draft, it's a pretty inexact science.

Bad footwork. That can definitely be corrected.

Looks like we have two open slots and its about a month away from signing day.

Who are the last two spots for? who is waiting until the last minute?

I know its tricky sometimes b/c I went to HS with a guy that wanted to go to ND but his dad wanted him to go to Michigan because his boss was a "big" MI donor.
Dads choice won because his job threatened to fire him if my teammate didn't sign with Michigan.

Every time I hear that a recruit can't decide, I think of him.
Do we need our "donors" to assure some recruits parent that they will not lose their job if a recruit signs with us?

we have 3 to 5 slots actually, and i think the current focus is on Reid, Wicker, McGinnis, and Holiday. Maybe a senior transfer or 2? Let's see what shakes out. Lot's of time left

Is the Holiday you are talking about Justin's cousin from San Diego? I seriously doubt he is coming here and I doubt he even visits. He's pretty much been the second coming of Tezino when it comes to his interest in UA.

Stanford is in the lead he values academics. If we get him on campus I think we'd have a good shot. They're making a push for Reid.

Dechaun Holiday has a top four of ASU, UCLA, USC, and UW. Looking at his Rivals profile he only has an official visit listed for ASU on Jan 16th. I assume he has been to UCLA and USC in some capacity at this point though.

Do we have any chance with him? We need a db more than any position imo. We may have a lot of names on pair, but not a lot of power 6 conference starter talent.

I would think Utah recruits would also be in play with their coaching shake-up. They lost their DC, DL coach, and OC.

He wouldn't get on the plane for a cross country flight if he wasn't seriously considering the job with the Jets and SF might want to interview him as well. If I was a UCLA recruit, I would be worried that he might eventually jump ship.

Mostly because we're not throwing money at him. Keenan is a stud and getting beat on a single one on one rep isn't bad. He's still the best tackle in the west.

That sucks, but the silver lining is if you have to do an ACL, then this would be the best time to do it. He was almost certainly going to redshirt next year anyway. Hopefully he recovers quickly enough to be able to participate in all the S&C work his freshman year.
