I think he should just drop the athlete and stick to WR.
If Bruce Judson wants to come to Arizona let him play whatever position he wants too.
No way. He'd never cut it at QB. Poor arm strength and too small. Braxton, Tate, Dawkins and Anu would beat him out. He's suited for a WR or CB....would be an interesting Wildcat RB but no way if I were staff would I promise a QB position.
The offer to 2017 Cathedral CB Elijah Blades was one of the best yet IMO. Donte's Inferno. This kid is gonna be off the charts and should pick up a 4 star soon.
Anybody hear anything about Burmeister decommiting? There's a VIP thread on the 247 board titled "Potential Bad News" posted by Brad Allis. I can't read any of the posts in the thread because they're VIP, but when you hover over the thread title you see "Hearing there is a very good chance QB pledge Brandon [sic] Burmeister will either de-commit or seriously look at other schools." Thread was started Friday afternoon.
I don't have Scout Premium at the moment so I don't know if there's anything about this over there.

There are three CB in SoCal named Elijah. Blades, Gates, and Hicks

Nice! UCLA has offered 2 of 3 and so has Arizona. Blades is my favorite of the 3 but Gates is a close 2nd. Looks like you guys are in strong with Gates.

I've heard rumors of grades with Blades but I don't know much about him to know one way or another

He is just getting noticed. He'll end up blowing up here soon. Had a good Opening.
Man, thats a great freaking pick up. If arizona can get a top 25 (talent not numbers wise) recruiting cycle in this first full year with coaches, that will be amazing. Donte and Yates being able to finally go into socal is awesome.
Early pickups like this usually worry me because the second their favorite school offers, they bolt. But Johnson's already been offered by basically every school in the country. They made their pitch and he wanted to be a Wildcat. Sure, anything can happen. But if something does go south, it won't be because a "better school" came calling.
Lots of talent at his high school. I know Tony Dews has been making head way into that school for a few years do he should details some credit along with Donte for closing this committ.

Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?
Sure are a lot of whiffs on that list. Nic Costa at #4 couldn't even hit the net in practice. Ended up going to Portland St or some place to try out at a WR position.

Hate to be a debbie downer, but I can see this coming a mile away. If Donte continues to land guys like this in this class someone is going to pluck him away from us before signing day and there goes all the studs that committed to us along with him. It'll be one of the LA schools too I'm sure.

He currently has 24 offers which include the two LA schools. He grew up there and knows exactly what the schools offer. He wants to play for Arizona and Coach Williams.
I am a huge Debbie downer for arizona football but come on, enjoy this. No reason to be upset. Is there are chance he deco it's sure, always a chance these days. But this is our second highest ranked recruit ever from LA with offers from USC and UCLA. We are coming off a forgettable season but this at the very least Shows these new guys know what they are doing.
To land a guy like this has to make you optimistic for the future of this class.

Gotta love it. Even when the Cats win, someone on the boards spins it into a loss.
All this recruiting stuff is a waste of time until we win a Rose Bowl.

Hey it's Arizona football, it's what the program does best.

You said it not me! Also I do recall saying you could care less if Arizona made a Rose Bowl.
Reason we have never made a Rose Bowl, in my opinion the biggest reason is decades of average recruiting. Greg Johnson is not the typical Arizona recruit and lets all hope it is just a sign of things to come.

I never said that, Newport. You're making crap up. Of course I want us to make a Rose Bowl, but if we make it and lose the first time I'll be really, really pissed off.

This is just the beginning. Karma is coming and it's going to sting like a bitch!
I believe ChooChoo was saying that Donte's going to get poached.
