Don't know if this means anything, but according to FootballScoop Shea Patterson's brother is leaving LSU and looks like he's going to Ole Miss for a "personnel" role.

We aren''t going to get Patterson but I couldn't help but laugh about the "Bear Down reference:

http://www.shreveporttimes.com/story/sp ... /23027847/

“Obviously I’m so happy for them, and their hard work paid off. In the back of my mind, I looked at (receiver) Shun Brown and (running back) Orlando Bradford and thought, ‘Who am I going to throw to next year?,’” said Patterson, who added that Brown and Bradford say ‘Bear down,’ Arizona’s catchphrase, daily.

It would appear that Patterson is tied alot to his brother. While his brother was part of our program he was committed to us and once he left for LSU they were seen as the front runner. Now he is looking at a spot with Mississippi who is also recruiting the kid. That is just a weird story IMO

Shea isn't coming to Arizona. Way too many factors going on there. Tate was offered as a quarterback and that's what he wants to play so we will see how that goes. Usually Serra kids don't leave LA. I personally like Modster more, but this guy is an athlete.

This freak athlete recently picked up an offer from Southern California during it elite invitation-only Junior Day. Harry is athletic and physical with good speed. He caught 30 passes for 657 yards and 13 TDs last season. He has seven offers now. Coach Shaun Aguano believes he may pass Lucas for most recruited player on his team for next season. Among his offers are ASU, Nebraska, Texas A&M and Washington.

Looks like Arizona has offered 1-4 and Holt on Oberts's top 10. Same with ASU 1-4 plus N'Keal Harry

Looks like RR is looking to the post-Nick Wilson era with the RBs being offered. He's aiming fairly high on these ones. Sign one or more next year, let them most likely redshirt, and then they're ready to go for 2017 and beyond.

AZPenguin,

The truth is Nick has already sustained two big-time concussions. I can assure you that he has already been put on notice that anymore of those of any significance, which are sure to happen again, will cut his football playing days very short unless he wants to take a chance of tempting fate that results in him drooling on himself by the time he is the age of 40 due to repetitive brain trauma. And he doesn't.

That’s just the reality of things.

Rich Rod should have brought in more RB's than just Bradford this year. He'll need at least two in next years class.

Everyone thinks the RB’s are one of the strongest units for next year……………..I actually thing they are one of the weakest links in the chain.

I think we'll be in the same position at RB as we were last year. Wilson is #1. If he gets dinged, Jared Baker or Zach Green is up. We'll see if Bradford cracks the rotation or if he redshirts. I'm curious about Jonathan Haden. I think Cormier having to give up football threw a wrench into RR's plans at the position, because he was going to be really good. The success of the running backs will improve if Solomon makes the freshman-sophomore jump that we're hoping to see.

No doubt, and the medical staff and the coaches have no idea? The coaching staff is well aware of Wilson's medical history and it is nowhere near as you make it sound. He didn't display any of the so called "big time" concussions. He wasn't walking around with a towel over his head nor did he suffer from serious headaches. There's a protocol that is followed and everything I've heard is that Nick Wilson is fine and they expect big things out of this year.

What's the story with Zach Green? Is he a total bust at RB? Couldn't we move him to another position. When we recruited him he was really into nutrition. Is he set for a breakout year or is he just a "small" role player?

I've got no inside info, but if you look at the situation last year, you have a senior in TJG, a phenom in Nick Wilson, and a seasoned guy in Jared Baker. Green was a RS freshman. He did get a few late game carries but there just wasn't enough to go around as is. Add in the uptempo offense and you're not subbing in guys mid-drive most of the time. I think Green will get his chance.

Shoot for the sky with one, then settle on the other?

http://www.azdesertswarm.com/recruiting ... gan-gamble

The first offer of the night was sent out to Tre Nixon, 3-star receiver out of Viera High School (Melbourne, FL) who measures in at 6-1 180lbs. He holds over 30 offers to some of the top programs in the country including Alabama, Miami, Michigan State and Notre Dame among many others.
...
The second offer was handed to Logan Gamble, 6-6 200lb wide receiver/defensive end out of St. Anthony High School (Long Beach, CA). For whatever reason, he's not on any recruiting boards. Rivals, 247, ESPN, have no profile on him, potentially making him the truest of true OKGs.

Gamble seems pretty athletic:

40 Yard Dash 4.45
5-10-5 Shuttle 4.3
Bench Press 190
Squat 260

What a fairy tale story should he committ to us and if he contributes
