With the exception of the exchange of turnovers, in the second quarter, the game simply felt like one team slowly, and steadily exerting its will on the other. There were very few “big plays” (which we all know this offensive is capable of), and instead it was simply a game of stop us if you can, and we’ll do the same to you. The talent disparity felt oddly one-sided, especially after the last couple of years. Supremely satisfying game to watch!
Certainly agree with this.

Another reason that this victory was huge was that this was a starting group with many newcomers and the way they executed, even in the first quarter, was something to behold.

Great job guys. Onto the next.

While I haven't drank all the kool aid yet, I am taking sips. After the epice collapse/giveaway against ASsU on November 24, 2018, I hadn't watched a sinlge down of UA football until the SDSU game. In fact, I had vowed not to watch at all until Sumlin, Robbins, and Heeke were gone but curiosity got the best of me.

After seeing the play-by-play game descriptions last year, I had serious doubts whether Fisch was even an adequate in-game coach. In fact, I was one of many who thought it was a terrible hire. Saturday made me a believer. I don't know how many games these guys can win this year, but I am now convinced that Fisch has them on the right track. So I am another one happy to eat crow. Smoked, of course.

My biggest takeaway was after a mistake, the Cats generally made a play instead of compounding the mistake. Seems like the past several years, they would fall apart after a mistake. Hopefully it’s a trend moving forward!

Agree 100%. The improved mental aspect of the team is just as if not more impressive than the increase in talent and ability

I understand the issues inside a brand new stadium. Some long lines, but we had few issues getting food and drink.

But there was no excuse for the traffic and parking situation. Snapdragon is in the same location as Qualcomm, and the Q was bigger. Luckily Google Maps rerouted us to come in from the north and we made kickoff leaving an hour before from the Balboa Park area.

Thanks for posting Merk. I just don't get it. Jalen Harris just named PAC 12 defensive player of the week.
