I am not going to lie... I would be so in... Not sure we would sign off on that after what happened but I would be very excited if that happened.PHXCATS wrote:HELL FUCKING YEAH. Not necessarily related to Arizona, but..btfd16 wrote:I don't know how to imbed tweets but Feldman saying Hugh Freeze would be Les' OC. Thoughts?
If that is true, then all the talk about Heeke looking for a clean candidate are bull. Les might be clean, Freeze is the exact opposite. I think that package would be quite interesting, but im not buying it.RondaeShimmy wrote:Not necessarily related to Arizona, but..btfd16 wrote:I don't know how to imbed tweets but Feldman saying Hugh Freeze would be Les' OC. Yes, I don't see how we could hire him.UALoco wrote:Didn't HF have to leave Ole'Miss for calling an escort service? Not exactly what UA needs right now.
Freeze knows what he's doing on the field. Off the field, there are NCAA issues and the prostitution thing. It's pretty stark as to what you say about Freeze. On field performance, legit. Off field, it's a bad look.btfd16 wrote:I don't know how to imbed tweets but Feldman saying Hugh Freeze would be Les' OC. Thoughts?
Take the publicity hit and roll with that incredible combobtfd16 wrote:Perfect combo, bad timing.

I plead the 5th.ChooChooCat wrote:Arizona has an active FBI investigation going on in regarding to paying players and you guys think there's a chance Heeke signs off on bringing in Freeze? Are you guys fricken stoned? Lol
Sure he absolutely could be, but the optics would be absolutely awful.btfd16 wrote:I plead the 5th.ChooChooCat wrote:Arizona has an active FBI investigation going on in regarding to paying players and you guys think there's a chance Heeke signs off on bringing in Freeze? Also, he might be on better behavior than ever.
They will likely not be worse than now. Thanks Miller and Byrne and RR and whatever that track coach is named.ChooChooCat wrote:Sure he absolutely could be, but the optics would be absolutely awful.btfd16 wrote:I plead the 5th.ChooChooCat wrote:Arizona has an active FBI investigation going on in regarding to paying players and you guys think there's a chance Heeke signs off on bringing in Freeze? "Why not, things can't get worse" isn't exactly an inspiring message to lead with. Freeze is a good coach, but that is not an exclusive market.PHXCATS wrote:They will likely not be worse than now. Go for the fucking win. He will be on his best behavior and he has paid his price
of course you have to put Miller at the top of your list.PHXCATS wrote:They will likely not be worse than now. To me, this reads like his sources have no idea.

He paid his price, pun intended. He would be incredible here. With Miles, Freeze and Yates UofA would have the best combo of coordinators and head coach in the conference along with 18 returning starters. Just meant as a thought experiment and slight curiosity. One is RR so this isn't about our optionsAZarchery wrote:prh wrote:What is a worse decision: using a work phone subject to FOIA to call escort services, or having one of your affairs stand between your wife and other affair on the sideline?
You make it seem like those are our only 2 options.
Why? Everyone around here says recruiting is the biggest concern.....looks like it’s a great start!btfd16 wrote:Why... Why is this a thing. No to Yates.
Because I think Sumlin could do much better at recruiting, keep Yates and provide an attendance spike which is badly needed.AZarchery wrote:Why? Everyone around here says recruiting is the biggest concern.....looks like it’s a great start!btfd16 wrote:Why... Why is this a thing. No to Yates.
I imagine every coach just laughs this:azgreg wrote:They finally posted the job today.

I should put in for that. It's a salary bump, normal 40 hours a week and only requires a bachelors. My JD means I'm almost overqualified.azgreg wrote:They finally posted the job today.

Why not Yates? I like how the D is trending. That's all on him.btfd16 wrote:Why... Why is this a thing. No to Yates.
Would rather have him as a DC with play calling abilities and HC in waiting.UALoco wrote: Deserves a hard look. Young, good recruiter, poly pipeline, defensive minded, alumni, might stick around a while longer than the other mercenaries mentioned so far.
I am tired of triple digit undersized defenses. Plus, I agree with Chief that we need to spark attendance. Yates doesn't do that.UALoco wrote:Why not Yates? I like how the D is trending. That's all on him.btfd16 wrote:Why... Why is this a thing. No to Yates.
I'd like him a lot better as a recruiting coordinator/Co-D/c. It's just a hard sell if you have other names like Miles (national championship as a HC) out there. I get the appeal of an alum, but generally D-line coaches are not in the running for a P5 HC position, period.UALoco wrote: Deserves a hard look.
