UA would travel better than those teams to San Diego, so they could pick down and pick Arizona.

When will Bowls be announcements start? Next week? Or after the Conference Championships?

The day after the conference title games. Will be the NY6 early in the day and then the rest of the bowls that evening.

While I would love to go to Vegas, I think Sun will be fine so that the team can spread the extra practice time out.

I believe we go to the Cactus bowl, and Oregon to the Las Vegas Bowl. If Tate is going to play I will probably go to Chase Field since it is only a few miles away. If he is not playing we are going to get clobbered by Iowa State. I think Kansas State is probably a better matchup.

I'd think we'd probably be outdrawn by KSU fans in the Cactus bowl. You know how bad those Arcadia area Phoenix fans are.

I like those projections. The Las Vegas Bowl will not allow the UA to get enough practice in (and Tate may still be hurt).

Unfortunately the UA is usually at the bottom of the Bowl Pecking Order. This projection has Oregon leapfrogging the UA into the Foster Farms Bowl. ChildSlaveLaborU does check all of the boxes that Bowl Committees covet: 1) A well heeled fan base that travels 2) Name Recognition, and 3) An entertaining offense.

The playoff selection show is completely drawn out. I really don't want to listen to 1+ hours of analysis of the top 4 teams, milking it for as long as they can. It becomes boring. At least the coverage of March Madness doesn't mess around. 1/2 hour and we know the bracket. Then all the analysis comes afterwards.

USC not being in the top 6 makes me think TCU remains above Washington or Notre Dame jumps Washington

The committee was dead wrong as usual. Surprising that some people think it was right. As sccats said in the other thread they barely had any quality wins at all and didn't even play for their conference championship and only played 8 conference games. Alabama would be ranked about 6th or 7th in my poll.

It all comes down to who the Holiday and Foster Farms bowls believe will travel better.

This is why attendance matters

That said asu probably doesn't travel well with the coaching situation and the fans reaction to it

Wrong and Wrong. The PAC12 bowls have the option of selecting teams +/- 1 loss of each other in the standings..........Oregon finished 4-5 and we finished 5-4, so they could be picked ahead of us.
